It's all about driver skill. A good driver can even make the most pathetic POS look impressive.

Yeah, doesn't that just suck when all they have to do is push on the gas a little to swing the back end around. I hate it when that happens to me. Smirk

you know what I love?
When dumb shits with american muscle come to a turn on a track. It's funny how their cars just keep going straight. Mad

I'm sorry I don't drive a piece of *** Honda can turn around a race track at full throttle (5 mph). All the muscle cars I've seen turn just fine around a track. The only time they go in a straight line is when they're standing still, because when they get on the gas, the entire back end usually comes around, but you wouldn't know what that's like. Smirk

WOW, lots of ignorance in this thread. I love it when people classify a long list of cars as "import" or "Muscle", and then think they are all alike. Thats rediculous.

As far as handling, last time I checked S13's are KNOWN to push the front right off a track. Most of us track goers consider that bad. Show me an import that can out handle a C6 Z06 on a skidpad without costing way more.

As far as racing, ANY car can be made fast, PERIOD. Some things can be made faster for a little cheaper, but they are usually lacking somewhere else.

If you think you have a fast car, I suggest you get to know all cars. Because if you start assuming that "muscle cars" cant turn or that "imports" are slow, theres plenty that will prove you wrong, take your money, and make you look stupid.

Im one of them, and I own examples of both.

my '02 Trans am WS6 can run low 11's with only a gear ratio swap. i love to go against all kinds of cars. i go against some of the baddest WRX's,Skyline's,RX-7's,Supra's and much more and i show them respect after our races. i'm half muscle and half ricer. so i love pacific muscle and american muscle.

Just new gears?  No sir, I call BS.  Most low 11 sec. Fbody's and what have you need not only gears, but weight reduction and every bolt-on you can name, like lid, headers, intake manifold, etc. etc.  to make it that quick.  No disrespect to the LSx platform, but what you're talking about simply isn't possible.
