Does any one know what a YIELD sign means any more?!

Every one has seen one at least twice or more durring their drive to any where and it seem as if there are too many non-drivers or road hogs out there that seem to turn a blind eye to them as they seem to merge into traffic onto any main road or highway! They seem to do the same with all other traffic signs as well, but this is just too simple a sign to have been neglected. What gives?! I saw an accident the other day near my job going onto the connector that just made me shake my head. I was going home and I felt obligated to stop and make shure that no one was hurt... I had no choice as I was behind the one that got hit. Any way, The way it happened was that I was behind the person that got hit by the one who disregarded the YIELD on his end of the ramp onto the highway connector. YIELD is the same as STOP, in most cases. We all waited for the police to come and while we waited, the guy that disregarded the yield sign got all heated up and cursed at the lady he hit! He even made gestures like he was going to hit the lady. He actually thought that he wasn't at fault! I wasn't having any of that and got between him and the lady. All I said was, "Let's make it fun for me and do the stupid thing, IDIOT! The police will vindicate you if you're right, OK?" He realized he wasn't playing with some one who feared any one and decided to step his attitude down a notch.
Finally, the police came after a full 40 minutes of waiting, (tipical), and got all his information from every one that was present. He wasn't as unfair and single minded as some officers are in these cases and after all the info was gathered, he gave the YIELD runner a citation for disregarding the sign. Thankfully, there were 3 more people that saw the accident and told the same story I did. Justice is blind some times, but this guy got his "just" desert.
Remember, folks. "YIELD" is the same as "STOP" in most cases.
This was just another of those pesky service anouncements that seem to creep out of my mind from time to time.

Some people just force themselves into the intersection even when they should've stopped to give the guy who is already halfway across.

I saw a driver a couple of weeks ago, drive pass a stop sign. didn't even slow down just kept going.

Today, some crazy driver went into the "center left turn lane" to pass 4-5 cars. But, before he merged back into the lane, he went onto oncoming cars to dodge some trash, that was in the center lane. He pretty much was on the "center left turn lane" for about 3 normal blocks before he managed to pass everyone.(it's a huge block)
Hopefully someone reported the guy cause that was just plain careless.

Unreal! Then when they get into an accident, they blame every one but them selves.
The ones that make me laugh are the ones that are going past you on a connector, going lord knows how fast, to find them selves being stopped by a traffic light at the end of it. Then yu're driving up all slow like and looking at them smiling. All that fuel used up and he got no where...
I would love to hear more horror stories of the road or funny/stupid stuff like that.

Crazy. Just the other day I came around a bend and happened to be face to face with a car that was finishing passing another car in a very obviously no-pass zone. Fortunately I was there a few seconds earlier.

How about those people that go straight on a right turn only lane only to find them selves being crunched. Saw that this morning with a girl in a Jetta. She was really cute, but had no brains. The sign said right only form that lane! Dee, Dee, DEEEEE!!! Special...
