I'm fairly new to cars, but i love learning new *** and wouldn't mind tuning this car. I just got the car, i now it's not a turbo, but i plain to add a turbo. I'm new to this and i want your guys' feedback on what i want to do performance wise with this car. I hopefully won't be working alone on this project, i might have a custom car shop owner helping me if all goes to plan. Anyway i will list the improvements i plan to do, feel free to add to my list, and/or change some things in my list. Note car has over 100,000 miles, do i need to rebuild the engine?

Congrats on the car but, come on electric supercharger, really? Anyways, since your car has 100k miles, it would be advisable to get everything checked out, from the engine to even your suspension. Make sure everything's in top shape before going at it. A couple of things to look for/do: compression check, leakdown test, check timing, oil/transmission/fluids change, spark plug change, looking for worn bushings/mounts, worn wires, etc.

Check out these sites if you plan to buy online. Buschur has been working on DSMs/Mitsubishis for a long time, so you'll want to check out his site for sure.

With a 100k and a turbo, well, soon to be turbo? Do what Jimichanga suggests. You wont go wrong, bro. Nothings stinks worse than adding stuff that costs money only to lose it to aged parts. You know? I've seen lots of that and it's not pretty... A guy crying, that is.

It hurts!

Definitely sound advise. This is why I haven't yet upgraded the turbos on my car. I plan to do a complete engine rebuild before messing with it

Good. I recently had my transmission rebuilt by a place out in New Jersey. They performed a flawless build on my automatic, but in the end I was under powered for the amount of torque the trans produced with my engine. To simplify what I mean, I had shifting issues that were not related to the trans. My engine couldn't handle the extra grip from the wheels and it all seemed to kick back through the trans and into my engine... Sorta like the force of an impact flowing through an object. Weird, but true. Now I have to drive like a granny till I have the coin to buy and build the engine I want. What's funny is that when the trans was being built, I had a small notion that I would encounter that problem. Live and learn, I guess.
