96` Integra LS 4dr. advice please

I just bought an 96 Integra for a good price, and nothing wrong with it. Besides the sound everything is stock in it. I was hoping to change that. Problem is I don't have a whole lot of money but I am a soldier so I do get decent pay you could say... I have alot of questions about upgrading but I figured I would start with one... Where do I start? I just bought a AEM cold air intake, and I was wondering if that was a good place to start or what? any advice would be great, I love cars but I don't know a whole lot about tuner cars like I want to. This is only my second car, and I heard it was decent to upgrade one of these, so I thought I would give it a shot, I don't plan on getting another car. I wanted to get a body kit for it also, even though I know it's lame if I have nothing under the hood, but the reasson for it is becuasse it needs a paint job badly and I thought that it might save me a few bucks if I ggot the kit and then got the paint job for it. I am just curious about the do's and don'ts of upgrading, thanks.

A lot of people start off with the visual, bro. No need to stress on what to start with. A lot of people also start at the engine and suspension also... That's not to say that you should, though. I would start with the engine, suspension and brake upgrades, but if the visual is in need of some attention, you might want to prioritize the list of things you want done by order of importance. Any thing you start with is not as important as finding some one that is knowledgeable and good at helping you get what you want out of the car. That's the trickiest part of building up your ride. Any way, The money isn't the issue for you, so any where you start is good and up to you. In the end, it's your creation and there isn't a set rule on what to start first, unless the build requires things to be done before some thing else. The most important thing to remember is to set a goal with in your budget, shop around for quality parts and have a set visual design and performance out put goal and work with in those parameters. It's a long list of things to do. Again, any thing you decide to do first is ok and remember to look around for a good tuner shop to help you along the way. I hope I helped in some way.

You would need to be a little specific as to what you would want and search the net for dedicated sites to your car or brand. For example; Stillen.com sells parts for other brands, but they mainly sell things for Nissan. There are other Nissan dedicated sites that are out of this world for parts. Honda/Acura also has dedicated sites. Hondata.com is for any thing ECM related... You get the picture? LOL! Any way, looking in the mags like Super Street and Import Tuner, for example, will net you a ton of sites and possible connections for more stuff. The good thing about your Acura is that there is tons of support in the after market. Just point and throw that dart into the imaginary map that is the net and you'll hit a Honda/Acura related site. I'm not too familiar with most of the sites, but give it a little time and the suggestions will flood this thread. There are a lot of Honda/ Acura heads on this site and they're all good people with tons of advice and sites. LOL!
