Ok so I have a 1991 sr20det because i was told it should bolt right up to my 1990 240sx. Well, went to drop it in today and it did nething but that. I can get it on one motor mount and it is at least an inach and a half away from being on the other. Is there something I am missing?

I think that the motor mounts have to be custom, bro. If it had the KA24 engine in it then it wouldn't have been a drop swap. Even if you would put in a 1.6l engine, (not that you would, mind you), it would still require custom mounts of some sort. A RB20 would require custom mounts as well. They all don't have the same dimensions as the original engine that came in it, assuming it was a KA24. Nissan has some stuff that can be swapped, but not when it comes to mount placement. Sorry. My 87 200sx uses a manual transmission which is also in the 88 300z and the only difference between the two is in the bell housing and fifth gear. I swapped the bell housing and test fith the transmission fter that... It fit great. If I were to try and fit the 6 cylinder from the 300Z into my 200sx, it wouldn't go in quite so easy due to the mounts. You win some, you lose some. Custom mounts, bro. Again, sorry.
