I have an unnusual "hybrid"

Hi everybody!
    I`m new to this pages, but I`m an old hot rodder. I have a very "rare" hybrid; a Porsche 944.I`m not talking about an electric-motor car, I`m talking about a custom car. To make the story short, I had this 944 as a present from my uncle. The car was abandoned in my uncle`s backyard. One day I asked about it,and he gived to me! The car was a mess.Because I`m not a rich person,I began resurrect the 944 V-E-R-Y slowly. After a few months the car was running, but I have two problems: The CANCER strikes me and I`m sorrouded by JDM Hondas,Toyos, Hyundays,etc. So, What can I do? After a long battle with the cancer AND WIN, I decided to Make some "face lift" in my car. I fixed a Silvia (S-13?) front bumper to my 944, paited purple,and painted the rims. The car looks like a 240sx or a RX-7.The coflict is; Some 944 owners blame me for this "monster" because "we are a different class" and in the other side, many toyos,hondas etc. friends love the way I "cross" my car with Japanesse style. That`s why I called an Hydrid; part German, part Japanesse. I love my car the way it looks now.

       I think I do the best to my car and keep the good friends.  

I'm sorry, but some hybrids work and some don't. The Porche hybrid is one that should not have bee done. It's the elegant sports car of Europe and it should have stayed pure. I'm a purist with certain cars and the Porche is one of them. The Skyline is the other along with the Supra. There are more, but I'de be rambling. There is a tastefull way of hybridding a car but mixing Japanese and European lines don't work too well.
Back in my day there were some that mixed front grills from an Audi on to a Toyota or a Volvo onto a Honda. It didn't work for me then, either. It's an art to be able to mix looks and make it work. Save up and restore the Porche to its glory, bro. It's always been a dream car for most and you sorta' defiled it. You can't blame the purist for making faces.

I agree that there are some that dont work, but I looked at it and I have to say. I had an idea in my head about what I thought it would look like... I was totally wrong. It looks amazing! I am jealous! It looks kinda stock but makes you wonder what it really is from when you look at it, plus the color scheme is just beautiful!  

The 944 is anything but elegant, it's not a 911. I'm all for this hybrid

I agree, The 911 I am more purist on like that, but a 944 is meant to be mod'ed to the point that you did. Thumbs up!  

It takes all kinds, I guess. LOL! Kudos for the swap, bro. Keep original. I'm no one to say no to enthusiasm.

It is really funny how some times when a conversation about a certain topic comes up you seem to notice how many people own cars that have a little of what we talk about. I went to Norwalk yesterday, that's in Ct., and I saw an old Toyota with a grill that I mentioned before. It was a little tacky, being a Volvo grill and all, but it looked like it belonged. That's funny.

haha. I seen a lambo today but it was a newish gallardo. The guy blacked it out. Black car. dark tinted windows. Tinted tailights. Powdercoated rims. It looked sexy. If it is legal I would marry it.
