Is this legal?

Today I was driving in my family van, a ford windstar. I am one of those types of people who obays the speed limits, but I would redline the motor to get to it LOL. So back to the story. I was at a stoplight. I was the first one in the front. I saw the light change and I took off, tires screeching. None to my knoledge there was an undercover cop car (unmarked -gold - crown vic) right behind me. He saw me and turned his lights on and pulled me over. He ended up giving me a whole speech on why my driving is dangerous and (thank god) gave me a warning for wreckless driving because after I took off I didnt continue going at that rate of acceleration. I kept it at the speed limit, and I think thats what saved me.

Is it legal for him to do this, & why would he do this, I was in a van for god sakes lol. Was it just a slow day for him?

i had a problem with our van a honda odyssey and the acura rl.

i would sometimes over accelerate( or it was just the engine) but it would make a tires squeal, and afraid of what happened to you happening to me(i don't have a license).

you ever see like honda's or cars with loud mufflers(not trying to say or categorize), always or most of the time squeal their wheels on the stop light(after it turns green).

cop was just doing to you, to what he would do to them,lol.

I just think thats bull though lol. I can do just about anything in my truck and the cops wont give a flying whoot, but In anything that... well, I dont know now lol. I got pulled over in the van but not the dodge ram. Now why in hell does that happen lol, I have went accross a median with a cop driving by and he didnt care but I squeel tires and I get bitched at.

Cops. You cant live with them. You cant live without them.
