ok so i am trying to deside which new car i should get and so far i have it narrowed down to an 09 evo or an RX8 my problem is is that while doing research on the two tuner wise i have had a hard time finding parts let alone spec info about the RX8 the evo on the other hand is an endless list of american & japan producers, so i guess what i am asking for is some advice on what is wrong with the rx8 that alot of places dont carry parts

well if its between the evo and rx8 go with the evo. the rx8's motor is far from what the rx7 motor is. in fact, nearly every tuned rx8 has an rx7 motor. they just aren't as good. i think you should seriously consider the new sti. they have by far the most potential. with an intake, exhaust and a tune, the jun sti layed down 460whp, thats better than you'll get with and evo or rx8. plus they look better imo.

I agree. I'd go with the evo9. Just like civic guy, jp bud, id pick somethin else entirely. Honestly id grab a 350z or even the 370z. Thats if you want RWD. But AWD i'd get the new EvoX, or wait for the Rallisport wagon! Thats just me. Unless you get the RX-8 and swap to the 3-Rotor wenkel.

well thats what im basically leaning towards doing cause went onto a site that i got from a friend and thats what most of the rx8 owners where doing is throwing in the rx7 tt motor and if im going to buy a car and swap a motor might as well go honda not to deal with headaches that and i just found a brand new evo for sale for 10k less then the msrp

well as i sit right now the evo that i had found got sold the dealer was BS'ing me about it found out from a machanic that it was sold while i was looking at it so now its on to look at something else. on another note i started to look last night at some 350 and 370 Z's the mazda is out of the pic totally cause to find a 7 is going to be a headache and went to ebay last night for a motor to do swap and not spending that much on a possiable none working motor
