ok the car came with a b16 vtech(dohc)upgraded suspension, rotors, calipers, headers, nos system, light weight wheels you name it BUT not a turbo im hitting mid 13s in the quarter mile without spraying and my goal with this car is to hit mid 11s would i have to go in the internals or do you think a turbo would get me there  oh and im really not a fan of nitrous oxide so im not planing on spraying

ummmm... that seems pretty quick for a stock b16. I know a guy with a built del sol pushing somewhere in the 350whp range but that needed a turbo... like almost all high hp hondas

Holy crap that's unbelievably fast for a Del Sol, was it converted to rear wheel drive??

Either way, I'd definitely turbo that thing to help break into the 11s. If a car that light is already hitting 13s, a turbo should do it good. But keep in mind, the difference between 13s and 11s is HUGE. If it's still front wheel drive, it may simply not have the necessary traction.

I still can't wrap my head around a Del Sol being that fast, tho...

It's not impossible to get there, but you will have to build an engine to handle the turbo and its related power band upgrade. Every thing from brakes to axles will need upgrading as well. With more power comes an empty pocket. Have fun, bro.

well traction is less of a deal on fwd than most rwd fanboys make it out to be. drop the tire pressure down with a bit fatter tire. that way it still hooks with the extra rubber down... of course running a 13 second del sol you probably aren't running anything to small anyways though

That's true. I should have stuck that in there as well. It's cool, though. That's why people with experience fill in the gaps. I am an old fart, I tend to forget a few things. LOL!

I agree with the mid engine idea for te Del Sol. I think that all of those cars should be mid engine. It's just my oppinion, though. Remember the Pontiac Fiero? It evolved to be some thing really nice and then they canned it. All it needed was a good Japanese engine and it would have kicked a$$! Again, just my oppinion.

I would love to see a mid-engine Fit. I wonder what lines it would acquire?
Forgive my spelling, I seem to be making a lot of mistakes, as of late. It's the geriatric effect of agedom.
