I need help!

Good news! My trucks almost done! Just a few little things to finish in the interior and its out the door and (maybe) the '98 eclipse im looking at will be in. is a little 4banger with a cold air intake. Thats it, but its a (kinda) first car. im turning 16 soon so need somthing like that.  

That's about what I would recommend for a bigginer car. Once you go into the 300hp range it gets a little more dicey. Skill becomes a factor in handling an import with that much power to the wheels. I say import, but any car that pushes 300hp is too much fo some, unless they have a few years behind the wheel.
Have you guys seen the PSA from the UK on CNN that was debated by the FCC. Apparently, it was too graphic for TV. It ws about a girl who was driving in her car while texting. She had two other girls in the car with her, giggling and making faces at each other. The texting girl creeped into the next lane of on coming traffic and slammed head first into each other. There was more, but it's too long for me to explain. It might be on the net some where.

yeah i know that crap but if im in the car with like a friend and their texting as soon as their not looking i take their phone sure they get pissed at me but ill be pissed at them when my point of view is from a hospital bed lol!  

I agree with that. I've done that a few times with my sister. I don't get the fascination with texting while driving. It's worse than being drunk! Your attention is not on the road and you're all over the place while rolling. It's just as bad as perverts looking at your kids. I have no tolerance for it.

more and more people are doing it, and latly ive been seeing lots of new drivers on the road texting and taking on the phone..just the other day i got cut off on the highway by some guy texting he just turn into my lane no signal or nothin i swited lanes and passed him flipping him all the way/ oooo dam cell phones  

and its even worse when you end up in the passenger seat yelling BRAKE!! RED LIGHT!! WATCH OUT!! it kills me

but after it shows the rest(not the chicks) i then felt bad.

and yeah more and more are doing it... i'm just mad cause in reality there's a lot of people who don't follow the rules, and i've see them on the road.

o and what color is the eclipse is it like red. has body kit?

I'm on here writing about this and I can't understand why it's so hard to just pay attention to the road when driving. If you text and drive you may as well just crash into a wall and get it over with. The bad thing about those people doing that is that they won't learn untill they actually crash and by then it's too late. The don't seem to understand the concept of driving safe.

Amen. Some states are making it illegal to use the phone entirely when you are in the car driving, unless the passenger is using the phone. One little hand held device creates so much shisnit. It's common sense tuff and it seems as if every one doing it is out of their minds. I guess they'll have to learn the hard way. It's too bad that in that lesson some lives may be lost or injured.

Yeah, I have seen some people texting while driving safely, but it is VERY hard to do it safely. My dad for instance can do it on the highway. All you got to do is put it ontop of the steering wheel and hold it straight. Only thing is that to do it safely you need MANY MANY MANY years behind the wheel. I would never do that for the fear of wrecking the car.

And the people from the backseat and ESPECIALLY the passenger seat that yell at you to do stuff that you obviously see and are going to react to. It just pisses me off! Anyone else have that happen to you once in a while?  

I don't know about that, bro. I know aguy that has been driving longer than I've been alive and h never ever had an accident in his entire life and as soon as he got a phone in the picture, he crashed. That was the first time in his life. There are many others out there that may claim to be the best drivers on the road, but when you have sooooo much to concentrate on while doing 50 or 55mph, it only takes that one instance to just look away and you crash. I don't doubt your dads ability, but that claim will be for nothing the minute he has an accident. The point of it all is to keep your atention on the road at all time. You know? I refuse to do it.

Amen, bro. I hate to sound like a preacher, but any thing that keeps my peoples safe, I will speak out loud about. You know? I would hate to see the people I've befriended on here go ut that way or any way, for that matter. I do care for those I know.

I know an all to real story. This girl i went to school with last year slammed rite into a kid because she was txting and didnt even notice the kid, yes his fault for running out into traffic, but non the less,if she was paying attention, he would have had somewhat of a better chance. Fortunaltely she was only doing 25. The true BS, she didnt get in any trouble, ANY! Since he ran out, and was an emo cutter, they thought he was possibly trying to off himself. I love how bass akwards WV is.
