I'm looking into a new car and have a budget of 4-5 to spend on the core car then looking at putting another 2-3 into it such as lambo doors, CAI, etc. I've been looking at eclipse's but I have been told there slow for the amount of money spent, How are Hondas? I know a lot of kids *soop* up there civics and race and get ripped on for it but are they a decent car? I have also been looking at OZ rallys and Lancer es, but hear they tend to have drive train problems. I also have a friend with a 6 speed bi-turbo audi a4 that he might be selling and there is quite a bit of damage on the bumper so he is looking at 3-4 grand, however I would probably put a kit on it and replace the whole bumper so i wouldn't have to pay to repair that. But I also hear these are pretty expensive cars to repair, but can also last along time if properly taken care of. *Note I do live in wisconsin but this car would not be driven in winter, i have a 94 dodge spirit that i payed 500 dollars for to drive in snow with

Im not one to ask about hondas. I'm definetly one that will rip on you for it. Personally, id go with the OZ Rally Lancer. There not ugly, not slow, and already made to go offroad, just in case that spirit cant stand the snow. I wouldnt go with an eclipse, my fiance has one with a cold air and a 3A racing muffler. Its ok but not worth the 2500 she spent on it. I dont tell her that tho. Lol Hope i could help.

HONDA!!! if you get an ef(88-91) civic or crx and pretty much whatever you do to the motor it'll be fast. get an h22 and you should run 12s or low 13s. pretty decent and it'd be like 6k total

i do agree to the honda idea...but then i dont, i'd personally try to find a 240sx, pref an s14 that has a ka24de, or if you could i doubt though but a first gen lexus is300 has a 2jzgte thats a supra for cheap out the box but butter on insurance too lol, mitsu gto or fto's are neat, and affordable should be at least, its really up to you,
im working on an 89 240sx right now myself an s13, bought it for 1200. im doing a ca18det swap, (900 for engine and trans)ima send it in to ss see if they'll feature it when im done, i'll have it in the 600hp range ez, but thats due to a few secret mods and fabrication im doing hush hush lol. unorthodox yes kick ass very yes.

Why use a ca18? The sr20 has way more power way easier and much more reliable

Do you like your Dodge spirit? If so go for the domesticated version of the 3000GT and go with a Dodge Stealth. Most parts are interchangeable w/ the 3000GT. Honestly i like the stealths look a little better. Check em out.
