Ive been there for one. My friend drives a 1980 Chevy luv, the one isuzu made for america. Its white, original 4cylinder carburated, glass packs (yes, they are illegal here) and dual flowmasters. tops out at 142. cowl induction hood. We were just sitting at a light, all of a sudden we see city boy lights. We pull into the nearest parking lot. We thought he forgot to signal, cop comes out, over to the driver side and says, is that a chevy luv? yea, 1980. Hmm... my dad bought one when it came out, very good truck, you boys have a nice day.

LOL to funny. I got scared shitless today. I was doing 50 in a 30(kmh) not paying attention then I realize I'm speeding and as the comes into my mind I see flashing lights in my mirror. I pull over to the side swearing a lot and the cop keeps going and pulls over the guy in front of me who was doing the same speed!

I was just doin the speed limit and i look back, theres a car so far up my azz that i couldn't see the head lights. So im like, f this. Brake Check! guy backs off. I go to turn on my road, look back,County Sheriff. I was scared like hell, but he kept goin!

Yea, not all the cops are cool like that. My friend, first time he was racing, they both got pulled over. Both got 1000 dollar tickets. And jo had two priors for racing, so they took him in and his mom sold his car. He put a shiznit load of work into his car.

Ouch. Definately a lesson learned eh. Personally, I like to stick to the track but still, my friend and I  found a section of deserted road about 1/2 a mile long which leads to a now slid out road so there is absolutely nothing there. It's not a track but at least there is a 0% chance of hurting a bystander

As long as racers don't make it an event with an audience, I don't see too much of a problem with it. It's a problem when the by standards are getting into the road as the cars race by. An abandoned road and no audience is safer than not, but you still have the cop factor to consider. I still wouldn't risk it even if it's a secluded road. It only takes one gun-ho cop and it's over.
How you drive is your buisness. Remember that you're not the only one on the road!

yep lol it's just like the chicken fights over here...ok well sort of. so they say that you can fight them on indian land without the worries of cops, but after awhile we found out that it wasn't true and got raided because people were tipping off the cops...it took one cop though and it was all over lol...talk about being scared though I was about 15 at the time and when the cop jumped out of his car I was the only one that didn't run because I had a shotgun pointed at me lol what a night that was. Found out later though it wasn't the fights it was because they were looking for drugs...everybody got away free no jail or nothing....still I about crapped my pants LOL!

lol I wonder how that rumour got started eh. the only times we go do it theres 2 cars and nobody else. There literally isn't anything out there. it was an old road to a little city but the hill slid so they rebuilt it a completely different way and there is literally nothing(the 1/2 mile is a straight strip on the road). Its hard when theres no track within an hour and half...
