Acura RSX Type S, or Dodge "Neon" SRT-4?

if i were u i would go for the Acura TSX. its stronger than the RSX and is a 4 door. if u go for the SRT Neon it'll probably break down on you in like six months especially if you like pushing it. the turbo in the neon will require you to do weekly or daily checkups and you have to buy better intercoolers and better turbo timers. Besides the neon gets bad gas mileage. If you got the money just get a Lancer EVO VIII or a WRX Sti. both of those cars are 4 doors and pack a lot of powers in them.

so besides laughing at ignorant comments made by people in this thread there was some constructive ideas. i know people who have both and i've driven both and here is my opinion in simple terms..
rsx-s- pros: the rsx is after all a honda. its built nicely and is very stylish, cheap and easy to mod. the k20 is very rev happy and fun to drive. nice interior. its more of a economical car and you won't wake up the neighborhood driving around. overall nice car. cons: the obvious coupe design makes the back seats (only made for 2 people to sit (very uncomfortably) lack of torque and power (srt-4 stock for stock will blow its doors off) parts and servicing are a lot more expensive. not to mention its a cop magnet.
srt-4- pros: for starters, its a neon; cheap. easy to clean. easy to take apart. easy maintenance. practical. its also an srt; attention grabber. mean sound. fun turbo. QUICK. and just about as easy as a honda to upgrade. (look at the engine sideways and you gain hp) no but seriously. my friend walked into home depot 20 minutes and $15 later; we used a spring mod to hold the wastegate arm opened and he was spiking 21 psi and holding 17 (not recommended, car runs lean and turbo becomes unreliable after extended use) the trans and clutch are almost invinsible (coming from a light duty pick up) but surprisingly smooth. cons: for starters, its a neon. cheap, easy to take apart, easier to break. exhaust is loud right from the factory. backseat drone is a bit annoying at highway speeds. its also an srt: ride comfort isn't the greatest. cops love them. and its fast (sometimes a bit scary)
conclusion: two totally different cars. both good and bad in their own ways. rsx is great for driving around. srt is great for driving around. sacrificing a little ride quality you can blow past some *** who tries to get in front of you at a red light with the srt. sacrificing a little leg room and speed you can have a sweet looking car with a more gas efficient 6 speed trans. either way its like comparing oil and water.

oh and for the record the neons aren't as unreliable as some people are making them seem to be. a buddy of mine has 140k on the dash and its still running like new with very few problems along the way 100% of them are routine and would happen with any other car. regular inspection and maintenance is a must though. just like i have a buddy with an rsx with barely 30k on the dash and he's gone through a clutch, radiator, o2 sensor (cost him almost $300 with labor) and idle control sensor. a lot of the times its the driver.. not the car.

SRT-4 is the way to go ive wanted one but its out of my budget

I have own two honda(both civics ex) one acura(ls vtex)one eagle talon not in tha order,and the car i just purchased 3 days ago is a 2003 srt4.First off I loved hondas they are easy to fix up and just a all around cool car,i did some mild upgrades nothing crazy,hondas straight out the box are not really that fast the si models are pretty fast but still ur not gonna blow the doors off of to many cars out thar with a honda,acuras are a upgraded honda faster out the box nicer interior and just as easy to hook up as a honda and most parts swap over depending on the year model.now the srt4 is awesome i just installed a blow off vavle and the car is now lowered as well.This car wants to go fast,the sound of the exhaust makes the car sound mean the boost tops out around 5400rpms interior is sweet black inside nice raceing seats, shifter is alright,srt4 has a nice body kit on it,with a scoop hood. the srt 4 is more bang for your buck,got lots of room good trunk spaace.having never really liking the neon b4 the srt4 is fing awesome i love driving it, i would recommend a srt4
