Do what fits your budget. I would do the engine first, assuming you decide on a car. It's always easy to do engine stuff and then do suspension and brakes as a package later. Or vice verse. Too much power and no stopping and handling = a crappy ride. Which ever choice you pick, remember that with performance comes more and more upgrades. Once you finish one thing you find that it lacks in another area, and so on and so on. It can get expensive. Also, don't cheap out on parts. You get what you pay for. Advice from us is ok, but inevitably, you'll have to go to a qualified tech to do some of the work. I'm reffering to the suspension. If you don't have a clue on how to mess with springs and struts, you WILL kill your self. Any way, Most of us here have experience in cars and we can guid you, but only by so much. Again, it comes down to going to an experienced tech to do some of the work. Good luck on what you dicide to get and do first.

Yeah I'm definitely going to chase "name brand" things, and not go for the wallmart priced parts.

Wallmart sells brand name oils... for cheap, too! LOL! I'm glad you aren't going to do that. There is so much good stuff on the net that it makes one go stirr crazy. Shop around and be picky.

You haven't decided on which car you're getting. It would help to know that before you get crazy. The Maxima is a great car, but you need some real know how on getting it reliable with all the bolt on products.. The Sentras are really great, too. They only have one engine that isn't too great with bolt ons. It's their 2.5liter engine. It's in the Altima and the SpecV, but as a performance engine you're better off getting a SR20, a KA20 or KA24 engine swap. These 3 engines have been done up reliably and do put out a lot of ponies, if done right. There are a lot of products for those two cars and the only thing required is deciding on which car you want.

I saw the engine, but it's not the one the guy is selling. It was a sample picture. You might want to find an engine where you can drive to it and see it. You know? Then, regardless of how clean it look, have a trusted machine shop give it the once over to determine its condition. I've purchased online like that and have gotten burned. I'm not saying that it will happen to you, but I'm a little weary of ebay. I only get small items from that site. Engines I get through places that I've dealt with for years. Then I rebuild them my self.

Yeah I live in a pretty small town so I have to get stuff online unfortunately. If I get ripped I won't but upset but if it works I'll be quite satisfied. I'm just working all of this into my budget. Gotta sell some stuff I don't use any more computer, college books, 360, sony ericsson, itouch, and the cash I've saved up. Should be a fun project, a friend of mine is buying a stock acura rsx and we're going to have a hell of a good time workin on them.

Dude, that's too funny. It's also the same as a Puerto Rican not having his Christmas pig roast. We get a neglected and sad feeling when that happens. LOL! The things we have to edure. Right? LOL!

I KNOW, I roasted a picnic pork shoulder this past Christmas with all the condiments that make the flavor that I remember as a kid and it came out remarkable. The meat was sooooooo tender and it just fell off of the bone! I'm drooling! If you guys want a taste of Puerto Rico, go to Cooking Network and look up a recipe for Puerto Rican rice w/Pigeon peas and pork roast. Skip the pigeon pea rice, it didn't taste quite like I remember. The roast, on the other hand, was right on the button. Just follow the recipe and eat to your hearts content. The next day, though, start eating a lot of oat meal for a few weeks to clean out the fat from your system. It's a once in a while treat if you like it. Don't do like some of my Puerto rican cousins and take it so far that they get Diabetes from eating so much fatty meats. Try to at least find a lean cut of pork shoulder, if it's possible. Wow, this thread really went south! LOL! What a way to be on subject, huh? LOL!
