Engine Swap

I am an old man who still likes all kinds of cars. I just bought a 1975 Chevrolet Monza Towne Coupe- all stock, original 2.3L 4 cylinder (hard to find parts for it). I want to swap the engine out and to be different, have thought about dropping in an ecotec engine and new automatic tranny. The Monza is rear wheel drive, so I know I will have to get an adapter for the transmission unless I can find an engine and tranny from a Saturn Sky or Pontiac Solstice. I am not really interested in racing- I want more of a street rod that looks good, sounds good, and can be driven anywhere. Any thoughts?- my other option is either a V-6 or small block V-8, but I want to keep the weight down as much as possible.

sounds like an awsome project man..dont know how you feel about differant engines besides gm, but ford came out with a 2.3L factory turbo engine...they came in the thunderbird turbo coups and the mustang svo's ..personaly i think that would be an awsome swap, but thats just my opinion
