Any of those cars would do you justice, but TH is right. You have to think of what it is you want to do with the car and then see what's available for mods. You're on the right track with any of the imports you mentioned, though. I like the old school stuff my self, but reality hits in the form of words like "rare" and "hard to find parts for". If you have the time and money for an OS ride, custom mods is the way to go. In most cases with OS rides, "custom" is the most used word. LOL! Shop around and see what fits you. The Mods can come later when you finish paying for the ride. You don't want to be broke while the little lady is wondering why you don't take her out. You know?

really? well i ve been looking at a few cars one being a civic, a 95 for $5000. also theres a guy with a 70's Z that ive been eyeing for $3400 but it needs work (paint, heater, radio, water pump, head gasket, and a few other things) also ive been looking at a 93 perlude for $4500 witch looks so awsome are the civic and perlude similar or is one better then the other? would the Z be worth taking a chance? what i want for now is a daily drive should i go in a new direction in cars or go with one of the 3? (i miss my motorcycle already less stressful. too many choices)

Those are some pretty steep prices for those cars. It's supposed to be a buyers market. I would check ou t the blue book value on those cars and then barter with the guy or buisness that is selling them. The 70s Z is a rightious find, but unless you know how to do most of the engine work, you may as well scrap the idea. I think Nissan still has the Z programm running, I'm not too sure, though. The most important thing to look at with the 70s Z is the condition of that chassis. They were not made with the best of metals, at that time, and rotting is more severe than what you actually see. At that time they were made with untreated, recycled refridgerator metal. Some thing to think about. I would stick with the Honda product. It's reliable and parts are plentifull. Plus it has a good following and support.

I used to own a couple of them. A 71' and a 73'. Nice rides, indeed. I wish I could find another Z to buld up, like those. Barber, I would do the Sentra only because of the buildable factor. The toyota is cool too, but you need to get all the upgrades form some one as there are almost no performance parts available for it. There is one or two paces in Puerto Rico that manufacture parts, like fenders, doors and stuff, but to what extent, I don't know. They are sort of like Year One, but for Toyotas and Mazda. If you decide on the Toyota, I could link you up with a dude that has a shop in New Haven, Ct. that deals with those places in Puerto Rico. But, seriously, I would do the Nissan Sentra. It's newer and has less headaches for building up. Your choice, though. Good luck on your descision.
