Hi, I have found a 1987 Nissan 300ZX for 600$. It does not start, and the owners now think it is the starter, if this is the case how much would a starter run? I am also wondering if parts for this car are hard to find, how much parts would cost, and whether or not it is hard or easy to work on. Would this be a fun//good car to start on? Thanks.

It's an 87 and having a 87 200sx my self, it may get even hardeer to find most of what you want in a brand new part. Nissan may have some stuff that may be exclusive to them, but as far as updating any thing, it will be hard. That's my case for where I am in the country. It may not be so for you, though. I would stick with it, but remember that it's almost 25 years old. Things will need to be replaced and it may all happen at once. My 200sx is cherry due to my diligence, but my new idea is to slam a RB26DETT and call it a day or even a RB30! My mind flies all over the Nissan issue and I get all dreamy eyed about it. LOL! Take it slow with the car and remember that it's going to be a classic before youy know it. For a car to be classic, it has to be 25 years old. It won't be long now.
How you drive is your buisness. Remember that you're not the only one on the road!
