Well I mean nothing came of it. Like Im gunno show up at court?! "umm hey dude is there a reason theres no tag on this thing.." "umm..no?" "ok" -street racer? surely not- That guy had no IQ to let me go and not take me in.
I dont have too many illegal activities under my belt as far as driving goes, I mean Ive had my license suspended once and had to go to traffic school a few times but otherwise nothing huge, so maybe to someone more experienced this is a stupid question but you say you didn't show up to court right? Did you go to another state to avoid them looking for you? Just curious

That would be a summons arrest for a failure to appear in Ct. The laws are different from state to state and what may be serious here where I live may not be too bad there, even though it's the same laws for all. It's how a judge interprets it from state to state. He got lucky, if they never called him on it.

Yeah must have been majorly lucky.
Although there are a few easter eggs of society that the law doesnt quite reach
Now that I think about it one of my friends skipped court twice and it hasnt affected him at all
I have court in two weeks too bad im not one of those easter eggs

I got pulled over one time....Let's see, i was driving in the country and i see some lights and I'm like "crap" and it's a cop obviously, then he turns off his lights so im like "whew" so i turn off on to a street and he follows me and get super close to me for a while and then he finally turned on his lights and made me pull over. And he comes up to the car and is like, "sorry, I am looking for a darker car that matches this description(an '89 Honda CRX? Dang)" but this was the time i had my permit so my mom was there and he said that it wasn't me. Supposodly there was an older lady that was help up to gun point down at the lake which was pretty close to where i was driving and they were looking for a darker car, so....Yeah!!! Pretty exciting

Dang. I was a youngster of 34 when I got pulled over for speeding this one time. I was in a real hurry to get to work from computer school... I think... Any way, I got pulled over and the cop says to me, "Some one dyin'? Why the rush?" I had no answer due to the fact that I knew that I was speeding. All I could do was smile and tell him that I had no answer. I got clipped doing a 120mph. The only good thing of that situation was that the cop was actually very nice. He put less mileage per hour on the ticket because I didn't give him a hard time. He said, "That's for not running or giving me a lame excuse." He told me that I would get a letter in the mail for a driver relearn course but that I wouldn't have to go to court for the speeding, as long as I paid the ticket. It was that or have my licence taken for reckless driving. I paid the ticket and took the course. It was a no brainer. LOL!

If you're going over 100 then its also automatically considered reckless driving which can lead to you getting slapped with a whole mess of other charges too.

Not one of my better moments, 2000Hcsi. It's what happens when anxiety gets the better of ones personality. It's no excuse for me, but it happens. The thing that makes it better is that I learned from it and have not done it again since then. A learning experience is always good, I guess.
I guess that's why I'm so strict with my self about the rules of the road. I learned thingsa the hard way through life and I wouldn't want any of my peoples to go through what I went through due to being an idiot. Yeah, I called my self an idiot. LOL! I deserve that if any one else wants to throw wood to the fire. LOL! I'm a big boy, I can take it.

It's been a few days since posting last on this thread, but here's a new one that happened just yesterday. I got pulled over (and get this) for doing the speed limit. I was in the slow lane going up an incline, it was a three lane road with the first one being the slow lane and I got stopped. The officer told me that I was speeding on a 55. I had to look at him kinda stupid at this point. I asked him if he was on drugs and he asked me to get out of my car. The rest was about having any thing illegal in the car or weapons of any kind. You guys know the rest. He searched and found a pocket magnet screw driver. I shrugged with a screw face and said, "what, it's illegal to carry a pocket screw driver?" To make a long story short, I have to go to court and dispute the ticket that I made him give me. I have a lawyer friend of mine coming with me to make an issue of the matter. I GOT PULLED OVER FOR GOING 55 ON A 55 SPEED ZONE!!! Funny.

No, he didn't. He wrote it down as a 70 on a 55. On the slow lane, no less. Yet he reached me mighty fast from where I saw him sitting. If I was going that fast, as he claimed he would have stopped me way further down from where I stopped. Actually, I would have lost him, had I been speeding. The Camaro that went by me flying dissapeared in a blink of an eye. When I told him about the Camaro, he didn't respond. I assume that he just wanted to stop some one for quota reasons. I'm fighting it, though. I'm no push over and neither is my lawyer. I'll let you know what happens after I see the judge.
