Wow! The list has grown a bit for me. I'm with 2000Hcsi. Any thing done up proper. We all love our imports, I guess. LOL!

I like the newer cars coming out. I still enjoy the older cars, but not as much. Old cars don't age like fine wines do - they age more like my underwear. After a while, they just don't feel the same and they smell just a bit off no matter what you do to make them have that 'new smell' again.

One of the newer cars I don't like is the new 370Z. I think the mouth opening is hideous, and can't figure out what those two fangs are there for. Asthetic purposes? I doubt it since it only draws more attention to the stringray stylized headlamps that it has now. Hideous car. The only saving grace is has is that the body structure makes it look more like a miniature Skyline from a side view. Poor Z.

My favorite Z would have to be the old 240Z. That thing was the Marylin Monroe of Nissans. No matter how young or old you were, you could still respect the beauty and prestige it represented.

As for their R series, I like the 35 the most. It's turned the world upside down in terms of looking at Japanese cars as performance vehicles. The R34 has amazing looks, but most argue that the R33 is a better racing platform. The R32 was a big ugly imo, but I'm sure that opinion isn't shared by most.

Hondas... well, people love Honda. They may not be recognized for their racing potential by most, but the Accord is one of the most reliable cars on the streets today, and the Civic one of the most common. I'm sure that says something about their build quality and reliability. Heck, I've owned three Civics, a 2001 EX and two 2006 Si's and none of them have given me any trouble. The S2000 is touted as one of the 10 best "drivers cars" because of its remarkable handling and driving feel. The NSX was revered for it's exotic use of materials, light weight, and incredible handling ability. It's too bad that Honda didn't feel it necessary to keep it up to date with the times. 17 years ago it was a monument to Hondas ingenuity - now it's more of a piece of memorabilia.

Who doesn't love Toyota's Supra? I'm speaking about the last generation with the 2JZ of course. It's predecessor with the 7MGTE never really impressed many people, although some would defend it's name to the death. The Soarer was notable to the JDM crowd, as were the VIP cars. Oh and one musn't forget the holy grail of drifters everywhere - the Corolla. Too bad the kids couldn't live up to the name. Scions are a mixed crowd. You hate em' or you love em'. Personally, I love them. They're amazing little tuner cars for how much they cost. I think the hate spawms from the fact that these cars weren't built to go fast, but built to be customized. Tuning in a different sense - audio, visual, and so forth.

Mitsubishi, Mazda and Subaru tend to have cult followings, but so do the mainstream imports I suppose. Mitsubishi with it's bullet proof engine, Mazda with it's crazy triangles, and Subaru with it's Rally heritage. I respect all three with their unique take on the automobile, but they're only really noted by the Eclipse, Evo, WRX, and RX series. Everything after that is forgettable.

You see? It's hard to just like one car! LOL! All of the import companies are out doing them selves and putting out works of art. It's hard to just pick one car out of the bunch of quality cars. LOL!

They don't make cars like that any more... What ever happened to pleasing the consumer? The Detroit Big Three Auto makers have failed us all as of late. I like those old muscle cars. A 49 Mercury Custom for me, though. LOL! Along with a few others. LOL! If you don't know what that car looks like done up, rent the movie Cobra starring Sylvester Stallone. He plays the role of a cop trying to solve a few murders. When you see the car, you'll know why I like it. The knife the criminal syco has is nice, too. I have the bigger version of that knife. Rent the movie and you'll see. LOL!

^I wouldn't say they've failed really. I feel like the big three, well, at least Ford, is stuck with what I call the 'Armorall' stigma. If you don't get my reference, Armorall took a big hit when people found out that their interior protectants caused dashboards and interior trim to crack over time because of the chemical properties. Armorall has long since rectified this issue by swithcing to safer polymers, but most consumers will stlil avoid it because of that mistake that made decades ago.

Independent tests have shown that Fords current build quality is competitive with most import brands. GM's new line up was also shown to have very sound build quality as well. I think it was the Malibu or some other mid-sized car that was compared to the Camry, and it beat it in almost every way. Now, I'd never buy a Malibu, but that's because I'd probably get made fun of for it. It's probably a great car, but there's too much social akwardness that comes with owning a car like that now - as unfortunate as it is. If I bought the Camry, people would assume it's the better choice and probably say nothing about it. Another good example is the Mustang. I still consider it the last Pony car of today, even though the Camaro and Challenger have returned. The Challenger, with exception to the SRT model, is a piece of ****. My only big gripe about muscle cars now is the attempt to look like older models by throwing on non-functional hood scoops and the like. I really hate how the 2010 Mustangs are offering optional equipment with carbon fiber stickers on them. If you're going to offer optional performance parts, either paint them or use real carbon fiber - and they accuse us import guys of ricing our cars out. Aside from that though, the new Mustang looks like a very sound car and I really love the improvements that they've made to the interior pastics and design. It's mostly minor things, but those small improvements really make it stand out from the previous model, which wasn't that bad either.

Ha ha ha I hate checking up on the forums because I always start ranting about something that has nothing to do with what I'm supposed to be doing ATM. Alright I'm done for now. :P

I know that GM and Ford are trying to improve and that they have, to an extent. Looks and how a car feels when driven is not the over all end result of quality. They matter but it's not definitive. How well a car stands up to use and how long it goes before needing major repairs is more important over the long term. Both Ford and GM fail in that respect. I work in a Ford dealership, (LORD knows why I came back to Ford), and I work on them on the daily. I see all the problems they have and compared to a Japanese car... They don't stand a chance. I can only use all the cars I've had in comparison. My Rav is 12 years old and I've never changed the starter, water pump or an oil pump due to failure. I've changed them for maintenance reasons, but not due to failure. I've repaired cars in that dealer with major issues and they never reached 5 thousand miles. I see a serious issue in that. It's good money to work on Fords, but I won't own one. Mustangs are very clunky, suspension wise. They shifter on manuals feels wierd and the 500GT has plastic accesories that resemble carbon fiber and is not! Like you say, D. RICED OUT! I'm not too familiar with GMs quality issues as of late. I havent worked on any of them enough to comment. All I can say is that people I know have a lot of complaints about them. They could be insignificant and petty, but they do count.
Any way, I don't want to sound as if going against you on this, because I do agree with you, to an extent. Just remember that I have my hand in the Ford cookie jar and I'm only getting crumbs. LOL!
