They don't make the Mondeo any more, I think. Cool little car. I drove a diesel version in Spain back in 97 and it got me all around Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, a little town west of Madrid on the border with Portugal. I can't remember the name of the town. Then after that we hit the town of Braga in Northern Purtugal then it was on to Marin, over the border again and into Spain. All on one tank load. I was impressed also. From A Ford? Yeah! Un-F'n-believable!
For that you may as well stay with the Mustang as it is and buy an Explorer or some thing. Unless you want to do major mods and spend tons of money on a Mustang, you're better off just getting the Explorer. It's an original idea and well worth it, if you know what you're getting into. I would see how many other Ford guys would see this project of yours through. It's a feasable thing, just expensive.

Any Japanese car is on the top ten list these days. Just close your eyes, spin around and where ever the finger lands... You can't go wrong. LOL!
