With GM taking hits from the "chapter 11 monster", I would stave off building this car and go with some thing more stable. I fear that GM is going in the wrong direction with their descisions.
The ecotech engine has had a great, but short, history of being able to get real horses from it. Try to see what is available online through Jegs or Summit. If you want real horses, though, make sure to do it the right way and get quality parts. GM may be in trouble but they have decent engines for those models. Do it right. Good luck.

If you need to be directed in the right direction than let me steer you a different way and cut your losses and stick with your auto the amount of money it would take to do that conversion  you could almost buy a turbo for your chevy sell it and get a better car  one thats already a stick it will save hella time and heartache haha  hate to burst your bubble just givin it to ya how it is ya dig?

well its your car so do whatever you want but i would recomend not turboing it with and auto because most of the time that causes problems but that gives me a good idea. if you get a turbo you can probably run it at like 7 lbs on stock internals and you can get and shop to make you the required piping

i dont think its worth your time to UPGRADE your cavy. one there isnt much out there for the car, second keep it stock for its gas milage and buy a car that has a bigger market for aftermarket parts

I'm going to keep it, manual isn't all that important but getting off the line better is a top priority

i thought up another idea. if your gonna keep it auto, how about a slapstick? its kinda a drag car thing but might be cool, it will also be the fastest way to shift. also what were you looking to do for performance upgrades?

I see severe alterations to your car... Plan on spending a lot of money, brother. It's not cheap to do what you want. I'm not saying not to do it, just know that it will be costly.

its actually at 101 mph, don't ask, and you could hit it stock it'll just take a while. likely get a new intake from kn and a new exhaust and you'll have a few extra ponies. if you wanna do a t3/t4 turbo, it'll be like $2500(cause you'll need fabrication work) but don't quote me on that. you should be able to hit about 200hp after that with stock internals and without anything rebuilt and you will have no troubles hitting the limiter, make sure its on a track though.
