has  any one had that prob and know how it might be fixed?  

I'm assuming that you have an automatic transmission. Some thing in the transmission must have given out. Maybe a servo valve or a seal may have withered away. In any case, it's time for an overhaul or a replacement. Which ever is cheaper for you. Those early 90s' Hondas don't have any real computer to sensor communication like the 99s' and newer do. It's basic sensors that switch a circuit to a light. Heck, it just might be a failed sensor, but seeing that you are missing the use of two gears it's more than likely that the transmission is in need of repair.
