alright so i was trying to get my dash out of my civic but i had no luck so i called my friend who works at a body shop and has done countless stereos and neither of us could get it. the top and sides came out no problem but the bottom stayed attached no matter what we tried to do. while im at it i may as well ask. the rear speakers are awfull(15W stock speakers) and ive got the fronts swapped out but the back are top mounted and the casing on top of the speakers seems like it wont come off without gutting the back half of the interior. any other ways? the front had a super simple case that popped off but the back seems to be one big piece(although i didn't exactly look to hard)

oooooo welll ummm see when it comes to dashboards thats when it gets messy i tend to stay away from that area of the car when im building (not good with wireslol) id suggest a shop to goto but unfortuneitly it closed down id take it to the dealer and have the machanic checkit out before destroying it (hmm c if you had engine problems brake problems or suspension problems id be a help but im noob at electronicx)

well for the most part im good with electronics but when it comes to suspension im pretty lost so i might need help later on but anyways before i get sidetracked my old cars dash was fairly simple and i just had to pull off the trim on it and undo a couple screws and it came right off. it seem like it would be the same as there were a couple screws beneath it but that holds a completely different thing on. being stubborn, i refuse to pay someone else to do it so i might just have to keep checkin with people til i figure it out

It sounds as if the clip that keeps it together is being difficult. Be very carefult to not pull exsessively or you might end up getting a new dash bezel. It happened to me with my father in-laws Honda civic. OOPS! They don't cost too much but it was money I didn't want to spend. Usually the dash comes out with removing a few screws and a couple of clips but maybe you should take TheHormones advice. It might not cost you any thing at all if you talk to the right guy at the shop. I would help some one with out charge with some thing like that. All I would want would be a soft drink to quench my thirst, and lunch.
