I'm not a Honda expert to be able to say which engine is best for a little extra power but there are forums that dedicate them selves to Honda that would better answer your question. All you have to do is look around this one and see what the most popular swaps are. Or you could just wait and some one with Honda know how will answer you. Every one here is cool. You'll see.

Just drop in a SPOON engine, it will have more than enough power.

I used to have a buddy, (we had a falling out), that installed a super charger in his 94 integra. The engine was out of a 98 Acura. I don't know which Acura, he didn't say, but it kicked some serious a$$.

So unless you have a bunch of money to throw around, then K20...not something you should be looking into. For a decent K20 which would be like the K20A2 out of the rsx type s, your looking at around $3500ish, maybe. For the nice JDM K20A your looking at $5000 just for the swap. Installing a K20 into your hatch is not easy and it's not like swapping in a b-series or even an h-series which is between the b-series motors and k-series in terms of difficulty. You want an easy swap for cheap money either get a JDM B16 and I stress the JDM part or get a B18C1(integra GSR). Both are easy to find, cheap, and have a pretty straightforward install. If you wanna spend a little more on a swap and still have a pretty easy install get the JDM Type R Motor or B18C. But make sure it's the type r and not the jdm version of the gsr which also has the engine code B18C. Hope my advice helps with your choice. Goodluck

OOOOOOOOOOO! "Mr. KnowHow" on the Honda front. I'm sorta' learning too. I like this kind of exchange. Hondas were never my strong suit, even though I do maintenance on them from time to time. Maintenance and tuning are two different things, though.
