Set your mind on some thing and make it happen. Really good tuner cars are hard to find but not impossible to get. Save and see what you can get. But you have to set your mind on some thing. That's my advice. Till then, keep saving.

as a fellow canadian if your under 18 ...(steal wat ever car u want) lol no j/kj/k  why go civic when you can go ACURA INTEGRA, OR RSX cuz u wounded have to spend all kinds of money for an engine swap and both are fun cars and u can get an integra or rsx for under 10G's

I was thinkin of an 84 bmw 325i. not a typical car but i have found parts for it and can get it cheap from a friend of mine who blew the motor after putting about 8500 into the car, none of which was in the motor.

That's cool. I like bimmers too. The aren't too bad. Good quality, good power, good looks... I could go on but you get the point.

Any way, just remember that bimmers aren't cheap to fix so try to learn as much as you can about it so that you can do what you feel you can do to it. Repair manuals are a little expensive from the BMW manufacturer but well worth the investment if you plan on doing repairs your self. The bimmer is not a bad choice.

Good find then. Nothing better than a good cheap car. Emphasis on "good". I hope it turns out well for you.

Awsome! Look into that little issue that it has, if at all, about the shifter popping out of gear. I don't think your year is affected but better safe than sorry. It'll help you determine a course of action to a repair. Again, "if" your car is affected. Good find too! Enjoy!

well my car was an out of province car that passed inspection about 2 months ago and i drove it before hand and had no problems with any gear but thanks for the heads up. is it a specific gear? my friends car does it in reverse if it gets over 4000 rpms. do you need a tranny rebuild?

He needs to let off the gas pedal in reverse a little. Getting the RPMs up that high in reverse is not suggested. The problem with the transmission seems to be coming from the 3rd gear. I think 3rd gear on this model is the engine speed gear. the gear actually spins at the same RPM as the engine. I think that it has a defective syncroniser, or more, from the manufacturer. I can look into it for you if you want so that I'm more correct aboout it. If it is the syncro, then the transmission will need to be overhauled to fix that issue. That is unfortunate if it is but well worth the fix. It is a nice car and a very reliable car. Don't let this get to you, though, every car has some thing that goes wrong every now and then. A bad syncro is the least of your problems. You know?

well its not a civic, its a sunfire(driving it til he gets his 89 civic's motor rebuilt) so i don't know if this makes a difference, im not a transmision guy at all.
