To s12rapido3,

Please read my post again carefully!!

Never mind.  I will just re-post that section again below in quotes and bold since many people here seem to be too lazy to read it above thoroughly.  God you guys are like whiny children!!!

"As far as the Saturns are concerned here, the readers rides section was DEAD before myself and other Saturn enthusiasts from www.sixthsphere.com discovered it.  There were probably a total of 15 cars on the entire gallery.  So we decided to give them a bit of help and posted our cars.  Since we were the only ones on the site, we voted for each others cars as there were no other cars to vote for.  Once the word got out by both the Super Street staff as well as other "Import" communities that Saturns were "taking over" Super Street Online, the Import crowd took notice and start posting their cars.

So basically, we brought life that portion of this site.  We have not voted anyone else down.  In fact, we noticed that our own grades had begun to drop as the Import community began to increase here.  Do we care?  No!  It's just a stupid unregulated internet judging site!!!"

So if anything, you should all thank us for bringing life to this site.  And once again, WE HAVE NOT VOTED ANYONE DOWN!!!  That is just a waste of our time and extremely childish.  In fact, most of us had forgotten about this site because it isn't even acknowledged by the Super Street staff.  Most of us hadn't been to the readers rides section in months because we have other more active places on the net to spend our time.  Not to mention shows and races that we compete in.  To those of you who think we are voting people down, grow the hell up!!!  We aren't little high school children.

For more proof of our non-hostile actions, you can view the blog that one of the Super Street moderators wrote about our "invasion" as well as check out the comments to his blog here-->

Whoa there, boys! Take a break from the rhetoric. Bigot is synonymous with racist so if any one is racist that's their buisness. I haven't seen it here and I take offense to attacking folks that I've taken a liking to just because they did'nt know some thing about a word. TheHormone is really cool people and if he was any thing other than being a good person I would have seen it. So calm the words! There's no need for that here! Just mind what you say and keep every thing kosher! If any one needs an education I'm sure they will want to be learned but not that way. Are we cool?

Any time, bud. I look out for my own.
Hey carcass I didn't misread it, bro. And I wasn't attacking any one with Saturns. The ones that are done up are awsome to look at. I have deep respect for the work and effort that went into building those up. What I was trying to say is that there are some Saturns that I saw my self that had no appeal what so ever and had high votes. That isn't even fair for the Saturns that are built up on there. So it isn't the fact that Saturns are dominating the vote scene. It's about the scabs that aren't done up. It's the same as posting a pick of a Gremlin, I hope you know what that car looks like, and it getting high marks. Who in the world would vote on a Gremlin positively? Again, it's not that they are Saturns that piss people off. They have their place here if modified, as some were. It's those Saturns that have no appeal, nothing modified or added to, that should not get the attention that they got. Your response is valid and in no way do I put Saturns down. If you haven't noticed, I like all cars, makes and models. Except maybe for Kias. LOL! I'm kidding, they have their purpose, too. And I think that through talking that things can get resolved. You're OK with me as well and if any one wants to belittle you, I'm there backing you up as well. I don't make enemies, I make friends. Enemies are those that have hidden agendas and you're not like that.

To s12rapido3
(Actually, I've seen a couple of really nice Kias LOL!  And I do know what Gremlins look like.  My aunt used to have one.)

No harsh feelings man.  I too respect all makes and models.  Just look at my car club.

I understand what you are saying about the top rated cars, but think about it this way.  If you have a total if 15 cars on a board and then an RSX club hits the site all of a sudden with 120 cars, obviously those cars are going to get the majority of the votes.  And since they are all enthusiastic friends with similar likes, obviously they are going to vote the cars from their group with high marks.  With that many voters at once, the top cars are going to be a random pick.

At the same time we were responsible for bringing the masses to Super Street online... just because everyone hates us!  LOL!!  Wana hear some harsh words I got?  I was told by a prominent name in the media that even though my car probably has 5 times more modifications than most cars currently gracing the covers of sport compact magazines, I would most likely never get in a mag just because it's a Saturn.  It's sad how people now days have no appreciation for custom fabrication, hard work and originality.  Please be my guest and open up any of the many magazines that you might have with you and compare my mods list and custom fab work to any of the cars in that mag.  In addition, remember that I drive my car, I race it, and I show it.  Let me know your your opinion.

By the way, check out the links below.  It seemed that our bastard child "invasion" drew alot of harsh criticism.  We never get any love.

Anyway, Enjoy the links below.

That's sad. I would put it on a cover if I had a magazine, assuming it was modified like yours is, of course. Modified is modified, no matter what the car. Even if was a Kia! LOL! Again, just kidding. LOL! I joke about Kias and stuff but they are good little cars. Not many of them get hooked up, though. Too bad there isn't a market for them like the well known monsters that we all want to covet.
To get back to the point of why people are a little angry about the vote link. Shouldn't there be a little self control for those individuals that have unmodified cars? If it's not modded up in any way, why should they bother putting their cars up on the voting block? You see my point? It's not fair to those Saturns, Hondas, Nissans and a whole slew of other cars that have had some real mods done to them and get slapped off the radar due to those poorly done, if not stock, cars. I'm not debating wether or not Saturns should be on this import dominated Forum or not. I'm sure that every one reading will agree that if it's modified, WELCOME! You know? I like any thing modified. It's cool and it opens the doors to all kinds of possibilities. I'm not against it at all. I do understand what you mean as well. There are no hard feelings here. This all educational for me.

I totally agree with you about that.  The problem is that there isn't a moderator to monitor the votes.  And if there was, who's to say that that person wouldn't be biased towards one make over another.  When you have an open voting system like this, there just isn't any way to regulate it.  It's all just a ploy to get people to be more active on the site anyway.   If there was a potential prize for being the top car, then I could understand people getting upset.  But there isn't and Super Street doesn't even monitor this site.

Take a look here for example. -->http://hincity.com/cars/rankings.asp
Do any of those cars deserve the top spots?  Hell no!  They just visit each others pages, vote for people and beg to be voted back on.  "Here's your 5 for October.  Hit me back with a 5 too"   I get this all the damn time so I don't even bother voting because it's pointless.

Regardless of all of this, I do understand what you mean and I do agree with you about how the top cars should be worthy of the top spots.

Take it easy.

This is why democracy doesn't work on the internets.

Unfortunately very few resources are available to monitor the forums and other aspects of the online community. I try to filter out most of the spam, but I work part-time and updating articles is my top priority, at the end of the day I'm lucky if I get any time to visit the forums. When I do, it's spent deleting spam and various illegal threads.

Dang! Maybe some help in the form of another body would help. I've read past posts of yours and others from the mag and it seems as if all you guys need to do is get some one to act as moderator. At least some one who's always on and has a level head. I know that doing some thing like that is on the realm of "no money" and "who would do it" but any one here who is not bias and completely political, meaning that any thing goes as long as it doesn't mean violence, verbal abuse and sexual content, could do it while you're busy updadating. You know? I DO NOT nominate me. I've got my own issues to care for. Any way, it's some thing to consider, at least.
