I was tired of being tail gated today and I had my kids in the car. That made what I had to do a little difficult. I slamed on the brakes and made the guy veer off to my drivers side, which made him almost hit an on coming car. Why are people not giving enough room between them and the car in front of them? To make things worse, HE, the driver, was a TEEN! My signiture says it all: How you drive is your buisness, remember that there are others on the road!
There are too many accidents and most are related and/or caused by TEENS. Get a grip you TEENS. When a car weighs 2800lbs+ and you're doing 40 on a 25 and you hit some one... THERE WILL BE DAMAGE and let's not forget the people that also get hurt from it!

I fully agree. as long as there is damage on the car I would say who cares. It's a car. But what if there is damage to people? You should drive with that in mind.

Amen! I would love to hear from some teens that don't agree with this. I would love to know their excuses, if any.
Hey GRacer, I checked out your site. You'll have my patronage once its up. Very cool site. Looking forward to seeing Europes' imports.

I cant speak for any one but myself but since i got my car in february, the only thing on my mind since then was to drive safe and take care of my baby. Granted, not every 16 year old gets a lexus is300 as a first car but im pretty sure that ppl are inherently good and if some kid is endangering your life on the road, its a result of inexperience and not carelessness (hopefully). I know its crazy out there and the only thing u can be sure of is that the other drivers are going to act in their own best interest, not yours. I dont blame one bit for what you did, esecially with ur little ones around. YOu have every right to be upset but try to keep in mind that theres resonable ppl out there who would have done the same, reguardless of age. PS i love ur signature
No homo (lol)

I changed my log on name. Sorry for the confusion.
Well Dynasty, when you're doing the speed limit and it's 30 or 40mph, who's wrong? The one doing the speed limit, or the idiot trying to kiss you rear bumper? There are speed limit signs for a reason. Ever heard of race tracks? Tailgating on the race track is called DRAFTING and it's allowed on the track! What reason could you give for DRAFTING on the roads... EXCUSE ME, tailgating on the road?! The roads are not for that!
I used poor judgement when deciding on stopping short. I'll give you that but don't preach to me when you're sounding like you tailgate your self. By saying I was driving to slow for following the speed limit makes you guilty of that. If I'm wrong forgive me. BUT, give it a rest. I do the speed limit and there are laws in effect against tailgating! It is my fault for not saying that I was following the speed limit to begin with. Sorry. I'm not wrong about ranting against tailgaters, though!
Hey StreetzSmokin, Thanks. And you're right. I'm not putting all teens in the same category. I don't want to be misread here. All I'm saying is that there are some that feel the need to forget responsibility when driving and fail to understand the dangers. I see it all the time and it's always when it's too late. My niece is going to drive soon and she IS getting lessons from me. MINUS the bad decision I made. I do feel guilty about that.

you know nothing do you? im a "new" driver and i use the " " because i can gurantee im a better driver than you, but you shouldn't say teens cause accients all the time as they have to go through test to be able to drive and you are an idiot driver who gets much to caught up in the moment and is a true danger to fellow drivers. You aren't being misread because even when trying to explain you are blaiming teens and you really shouldn't be teaching your niece because you definately need a lesson yourself

Wow! reread... First, "NEW DRIVER" and BETTER THAN" do not fit in the same sentence. I'm not going tit for tat with you on this. I'm not saying all teens are bad drivers. I did say that before and I guess you missed it, but when the statistics on accidents from across the country show teens and the elderly having more accidents than the 25 to 45 crowd it's hard to take your sarcasm towards me seriously. I'm sure that I left a big percentage of people that are 45+ years and older out. Sorry. I do mean elderly to the point of not having the response time needed to manuever at an adequate speed. When you are that old and are getting into too many fender benders it's time to get driven around by some one else. I don't think that the elderly should be kept from driving, I just think that they should be monitored more for accidents and the such. Once they get to a point of too many FBs that's when they should get off the road. I'm all for skill tests for the elderly to determine licence eligibility. It should be free to them! They have enough financial burdens. I'll go through that as well when the time comes. And with no complaints.
Chev1991, I don't disagree with your comment on my decision to stop short. I know you don't agree with that. It was stupid. I'm feeling guilty as it is for that. OK? but the point is that if you're driving around and you feel like you want to go fast, save it for the track... Don't tailgate, don't have more than one person in your car that would other wise influence you into doing some thing inadvertantly stupid, stay within the posted speed limits and by all means don't cut people off. There are good teen drivers but there are many more that need more driving discipline and have no depth perception yet. There is more stuff that I've seen kids do with cars I just can't dig them out right now. I hope you understand what I'm saying. I'm not targeting any one in particular. Especially not you. If you're guilty of driving like what I've written about, then that's your hang up. That's the only reason you would say what you say to me. Good driving and skill are two different worlds. One you have, the other you don't. It doesn't mean you don't drive well so don't misunderstand What I'm saying. Driving well and having skill behind the wheel are two different attributes to driving. You may know how to drive but does that make you a NASCAR driver or a formula1 driver? I use that analogy to get my point across between skill and driving well. Those guys have both and they know when to drive how they drive.
I hope you see what I'm getting at.
