I didnt say anything about STOCK civics running 11s, they are all modded, he said no matter what you spend on your civic or imported car it will still be slower that a stock muscle car, so I proved him wrong. and for the record and I dont like the movie, so how am I a ricer (not that your opinion matters), I have a real job, real car and in less than a month it will kick your sorry ass car (if you even own one) anyday of the week.

I can see that clearly in the first post you started flaming me. my car should be doing mid to low 12s actually. but its not the point anyway, you totally misunderstood what I was saying and jumped on the wagon with the other idiots on the forum who just like to argue without even taking the time to read the whole post or open the links in it. reminds of a dude on Supra Forums who was arguing with me that the stock MMKIV can beat an R32 GTR. I tried to exaplin that it mostly depends on teh driver but he kept insisting that the supra would win forgetting about all teh extra load of weight the supra has over the R32. anyway, at least he wasnt talking about that hp/L [censored].

Yeah you're right, a muscle car stock can beat alot of japanese tuners. But in the Fast and the Furious, there was no honda civics. The most recognized car in the movies were the Mitsubishis. There was only Two Hondas in the movies, A honda S2000 in the first one, and in the second.

Also, your car wont push out all of its horse power by itself, u have to tune it and drive it right.  

yet again... Take a turn on a track muscle car guys... lets see whos faster, bet a 98hp Miata will outhandle ur 400hp camaros ect... :-P  

I usually just lurk on the import boards, but I have to say this...
A lot of Top fuel and funny cars run on Nitromethane, not just alcohol. Although there are alky classes too, but they're a little slower usually.  And yes some of them do make an excess of 6000 horsepower.  I've personally watched dragsters run 4.5X quarter miles.  Why don't they run faster?  They have a hard time hooking up the power as it is.  Try watching a race, you'd be amazed how much power those cars make.  They'll have a sh!tty run and still run a 10 second quarter.  I'm not here to start an argument, I wouldn't want to waste my time.  The only reason I read what's on these boards at all is that I work in the automotive industry, and don't know a lot about imports.  It gives me some ideas to go on when guys want speed parts for their nissan.  Just thought i'd put my .02 in.  Back to lurking

When all is said and done, you still drive a gutted out DSM, with all the supporting mods to run low 12s.

And the Z06 is bone stock. And guess what? He's actually going to pick up *** in his car. Not that thats what you or I build our DSMs for, but point proven, you don't drive one of the greatest sports cars ever built.
