Its always possible, but is it worth it. No its not. Your better off selling the 94 4g37 and getting a 94, or any 1g eclipse with the 4g63. 2.0l making more then the 4g64 which is a 2.4l. Plus then you have awd, and a pretty quick car, stock. And it shouldnt cost you but 2 grand.

I could be wrong but I think that Mitsubishi to Mitsubishi swaps are as common as Honda to Honda swaps. There may be some components that will need to be transfered or relaced but over all I don't think that it's a mojorly over complicated swap. You may want to get a second oppinion from a Mitsu guy, though.

I am a mitsu guy lol. Swapping engines in mitsus arnt nearly as common as in hondas, not even close. As a matter of fact, alot of people with mitsu model years between 90-99 have chyrsler engines in them. (420a) is the main one, and alot of people say, o hey im going to swap out my crappy 420a (just cause it doesnt have a turbo) and put in a 4g63. When you could turbo your 420a and put out more then a 4g63. Is a 4g63 overall better, if your going to get past 500hp, yes. Anyway, like i said previously it will cost less money to sell the car now and buy a 1g eclipse gsx then it will to swap, its not like a honda where you just drop it in bolt it up and go, some extreme modification has to go into it. Trust me I looked into it and I know people who have done it and they agree its just not worth it.

When you could turbo your 420a and put out more then a 4g63. More then a stock or moderatly upgrade 4g63. To clarify. I dont think the 420a engine is as good as the 4g63 but dont say it cant hold its own. I dropped a relitivly simple turbo kit in mine with some custom stuff and am putting out 250whp+ (with a relitivly cheap turbo), which is more then a 4g63t with alot of bolt ons.

I stand corrected. And I learned some thing. COOL! I knew about the Mitsu/Chrysler colaboration in the mid to late 80s and well into the early 90s. What a mess that was! They, Chrysler, also bought out Maseratti too and and look where Maseratti is. No where! Not hating Chrysler at all, just wondering why they did what they did at that time. Some body was drinking lots and lots of Sake with the Mitsubishi reps. LOL!
