Hey sorry about not responding sooner, I dont check this very often. Now I agree they cant be fast with out serious re-design, but they dont make bad show cars IMO (accents I mean). The whole point of the custom import scene is to be original. How can anyone say they are original if the next guy has the exact same bolt-on mods? With a car like the accent you are forced to make parts you want because you simply cant find parts for them. That is the ultimate "custom" if you ask me. Performance is out of the question unless you completely rebuild the car with a serious powerplant. About hate... I was hated for the first year I owned my car because I didnt have many mods and people automatically look down on hyundais. But now when people see my car all I get is respect. Unless its some performance junky talkin down to me cause I coulda done this.... or shoulda done that.... when all they have is headers and rust spots. That doesn't bother me because I realize there is a difference between Show cars and race cars.

I saw a accent wagon with a wing and aftermarket sport wheels and it was dropped about an inch and a half. Thats what it looked like to me. I could be wrong. I think the car was a joke on looks, personally. I wouldn't have done what was done on this particular car. I agree, though, that if it's yours and you want to hook it up, it's your buisness. I don't look down on any body for the choices they make in appearance. It's their money and hard time, so who am I to judge. I don't ever want to be mistaken for my cousins remarks, on some thing like this, that he may have made in the past... That last comment is for any one from other web sites that would puul snippets of info off this web that did not fully read the history of the things that they pulled ignorantly to use against me like some child! Sorry, I had to do that. I don't like being confused with some one else.

quick to the point. Accent is a Family Sedan. not meant to be customized or raced.
And if i had 10 grand and wanted to buy a car(in my opinion, because i like imports) i would've gone with either the '88 '89 Supra , '91 Rx7 or the 240sx. Cause then i would have a whole shitload of money to customize my car so people don't call you a ricer lol.
have fun with ur Accent and good luck on customizing it

My car is a two door coupe. Any car can be customized. The cars you named are ugly. Except the s-14 or s-15. Do you have a car?

Hey UnperfectAccent, it was a 4dr accent wagon. I don't know what year it was because I'm not familiar with Hyundai. Unmistakeable, though. Hyundai are good little cars, granted, but no one is building them up for track or tricking them out. These cars aren't meant for that. It's like putting a formula one wing on a 1988 Crown Victoria! Seen that in Bridgeport, Ct.! eeeeeewwwwww!!!

Hey blackmonkey, I think you might be confusing an accent for an elantra. Accents weren't made in wagons, some places around the world a four door accent hatchback was released, but never in america. About this: "no one is building them up for track or tricking them out." you obviously haven't clicked on my link and seen my accent. If my accent isn't tricked out then your car must be custom built from scratch.

It may have been a 4dr hatch but it seriously was long enough to pass as a wagon. Kinda rounded looking. What got my attention to it, though, was that it was hooked up like a race car in appearance. I have to admit that I was speeding when I passed this car so I couldn't get a real good look to see if it was a hatch or a bonified wagaon. TheHormone is on the same page as I am about not racing on the streets. There are way too many variables to consider. You don't have those variables on a track. Yeah, you'll still crash if you lose control but the crash happens in a controlled atmousphere. Tracks rule, street racing is for droolers. I've got friends that are going to come at me for that comment... oh well.
