So im new here, and thought this would be a good place to get some advise on a car.

I found an 89 Nissan 240sx for $1000, The ad says...

"Runs, needs clutch release bearing. wont move because the clutch is stuck"

Im looking for my first project car, and i really like this one, so what do you think? is it worth it? I have kind of a small budget to work with But i do plan on getting a second job, maybe even a third if i can find one.

Plus, i really know nothing about cars, i have a few mechanics in the family, and i want to learn the trade, so i thought this might be a good way to do it.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Here are 2 pics of it...

not a bad price, but i'd seriously think this one over before purchasing.  from the pictures, it looks like its been primered, two reasons: paint sucked, or there was body damage and it was repaired and primered.  this year has just about the worst motor you can get, its very useless if you plan on modifying the car.  think about an engine swap, or maybe try to find a newer s13, like the 91-93.  if the clutch release bearing is shot, its most likely that the clutch and pressure plate have taken a beating from the dead bearing, so your most likely going to have to change those out.  i think the labor for that is going to be about 300-400 plus parts.

Not a bad price, check the vin and make sure it hasn't been totalled or a serious crash.
