Hey Chev1991, did you click the link to the car running? If you haven't, check it out! It sounds like a symphony to a techs' ears... LOL! It's a raw sound that hits me here... uh, well, you get the picture.

New mufflers are on. Haven't made it to the track yet. Wrapping up odds and ends and I still have to get the chassis certified. Here's a vid of the new mufflers.

WOW! It sounds totally different. Still monstrous but different! COOL! I wonder how that set up would make my co-workers Lightning sound. He's done a lot of work to his truck too. I started working at a Ford dealership and the truck in mention is quite a monster too. I love seeing this kind of stuff. I can't get enough!

Went to the track last night. Had fuel system issues so I only made motor passes. Went 11.33 @ 120 on the motor. With the fuel system fixed it should go 11.0 or 10.90 on the motor and 9's on the bottle.

That's too bad. Love the clip of the front end almost off the ground. If it's doing it with the fuel issues, I would love to see it when it's working smoothe. Good luck, man!

Went to Sac Raceway Friday night and made some nitrous passes. The suspension is working great, my best sixty foot time was 1.42. Made a few passes on a 175 shot and then stepped it up to a 225. The 175 ran pretty good but had an occasional pop out the exhaust. The 225 made it worse down track but it left the line much harder.
My best time on the 175 was 10.19 @ 132.5 with a 1.49 sixty foot. The 225 only ran 10.12 @ 132.1 but with a 1.42 sixty foot. Once I get rid of the popping it should go at least 9.90's or 9.80's on the 225, then I'll step up to a 275 shot.
Here are some pics and a video of the runs.

Most impressive! I love the hissing from the pressure release. It was a monstrous victory! Thanks for the vid shots, man! Did the tune up fix the popping issue as well? Also, were you able to figure out what the banging sound from the rear was? I'm just a fan with curious concern. I hope that there wasn't any thing serious.

No, I haven't changed anything with the tune yet. I'll start by closing the plug gap from .030" to .025" to see if that helps. I also might back the fuel pressure down 1/2 pound on the nitrous. Then maybe play with the timing.
Didn't hurt anything in the rear. I didn't bring the rpm's up against the converter so it shocked the suspension real hard when I hit the throttle and nitrous.
Thanks!

this is still up?
haha. club s12, i was on there awhile ago forgot my login *** haha that one chick "julie" was the only one there and was pretty much leg humped :P
easy way to figure out if black monkey EVEN has a gazzelle is to ask him about the most obvious aspect of it......
the rear end.
solid axle (ie ford 9") or independent rears ( IE 03+ svt cobra)
nobody answer for him haha

I don't think blackmonkey wants to play tech talk. I've read all of his stuff. He may have it but he's blown himself out of the water. It'll take him a while before he gets any respect. He should stick to fighting, like he says he did. That's my take on it. Hey Steve69SS396, it's good to hear that you didn't break any thing back there. It gets very costly to fix when things break. As far as the timing is concerned, it'll fix the popping through the exhaust at high RPMs. I think it's awsome that it still kicked A$$ even though it had that little issue with the engine. Way to show your stuff. There is this guy that works with me that has a mid 90s Ford Lightning P/U and he's done a lot of stuff like you. Except for not having NOS, it's pretty fast. I admire the time and money invested in those vehicles. I can't wait to get my ride going. Money, or lack there of, is my issue at this moment.
