Who can say his car can't beat another with out running it on track against another first. It may just surprise some... I'm not saying that it can, just that proof in the form of a physical race is required.
And isn't the stealth a borrowed model from Mitsubishi any way? I'm not a stealth or a 3000gt fan so it really doesn't matter one way or another.
My boy lost his Camaro to a built up Subaru WRX STI. His Camaro was built too and it still got smoked. Any way, some times we only have the word of some people and the only way to show them off is degrade them by talking tech and specs. All that is good and valid but when it come down to the nitty gritty... A built up 4 banger has a lot of pwer to weight advantages than their slightly over weight cousins.
I had a 1991 Sentra xe 4dr that I converted to rear wheel drive, with the help of some friends... all welders and metal workers. Any way, the work took 4.5 months and when I first took the car out to play with, some of my friends joked about my rice burner... the little car that could and the burnt bugger. It was black. Any way it had a SR20DE engine, built up and pushing 450hp and a reworked/ regeared 300Z manual trans and a 300Z rear diff. The shaft was custom from Ct. Drive Shaft. This little car of mine shut some of my friends up. A lot of pinks and money was won with that little black bugger!
That's my story. I don't know if dude has his built up or not but when some one challenges with confidence, like he does, maybe there is more to his car that he lets on! The proof is in the seeing, I guess.

Your friend with the 2006 Civic Si has Type R Cams? From what car? There's no 2006 Si counterpart in Japan. Are you referring to the RSX cams for the K20A3? I'm not so sure that's even possible.

Hey "D", I had to look that up and you're right. I have some Honda/Acura buddys that agree with you on that. Maybe they did a swap and created a sleeper. Again, I'm not trying to be the devils' advocate but some thing is amiss and dude is not being too candid... he's hiding more than he lets us to believe. I think that dude has the car built up and only tells us what we want to hear. It's not a bad thing that he does that, mind you. How many people do that for a race. I know I do some times. But then the people that know me also know my reputation so its expected of me to be devious like that. lol!

Should check some other threads that you've posted in and replied to. There is no weight/power advantage that a small 4 banger has over a larger displacement vehicle. More displacement = more power. ( and I'm not talking stock vs stock. we're talking modded. For example an LS1 with a big turbo is going to make a lot more power than a 4 cylinder with a big turbo. That's just math )

And I'm not a muscle car guy, I own 3 turbo mitsu's. And the car that I drive on a regular basis, makes more power to all 4 wheels than any POS you ACTUALLY drive. Not these make believe stories you come up with on here.

If I remember correctly, there was this 350Z with a SR20 engine in it that was pushing 900+hp! And I think that it was Super Street or Import Tuner that showed it on the cover...
Also, am I to assume that you think that those type of horse power gains are to be left to the realm of cover cars and the like? If that is what you're implying then GOD help all those "pre-import craze" builders that have been doing it before there was a "craze" to be had! If every one thought like that there wouldn't be innovators and an industry that caters to this type of building genre!You sound a little like civic.slow and in the end he really didn't matter one way or the other. You would be right on what you said if it wasn't for the fact that power to weight does matter when the 4 banger has 500+hp and the vehicle it goes against is only mildly built. And as far as domestic horse power is concerned, if a v8 engine is pushing less than 500hp is considered mildly built. and an LS1 'vette does not push less than that, if I'm correct and I'm probably not 'cause I don't know 'vettes that well. So if that is what you mean then I feel that you are naive.
Also I never said that I completely believe the story of the Si beating any thing... it's plausable but not completely believeable. All I was saying is that there is some thing not being said by the author of this post. There is more than meets the eye here. That's all!
Also I don't feel comfortable posting my property on an open forum when there could be some one that could eventually get to know where I live and steal from me. I have been very vocal about that and just because I don't throw pics at you doesn't mean that I don't know any thing. It's an old school thing and you wouldn't under stand unless you lived it.

Well,jching, I don't mind being corrected if and when I'm wrong or have given bad advice and need some attention to some detail, but come on! Where am I wrong? Again, I know what I know and from the projects that "I've" done. There is more than one way to get what you want from your engine and all that requires experience, time and money... all of which I have plenty of. Any body who builds cars and engines knows what it takes and doesn't spend time trash talking when all they have is half built cars and nonmodified turbo equipped engines.
As soon as I'm able to get back to work and finish my 200sx project I'll post some figures but I refuse to throw pics. Ya'll just have to use yo imagination fo that...! After August I'll throw pics at you all, assuming I don't lose my car to the competition... there will be pics none the less.

We were discussing street cars, and the typical hp vs displacement. Try reading what I posted before you start shoving words in my post I never EVER said.

I know several vehicles than run 9's. Earlier in the fall I was just cruising around with a couple 9 second DSM's on a Milwaukee with 100 other heavily modded cars and exotics.

anyways my SRT-4 did run 12s stock with slicks and removed air filter and muffler... just open to the air. with the mods i gots now, i am deep 11s when i turn the boost up, easy. Im tellin you i walked a older viper gts. you dont know how many ricers in 350zs and evos i smoked like a pipe.

Im tellin you the SRT4 is the fastest Dodge eva made sides the Vipa. Old challengers and chargers and the new chargers and all that crap aint got nothin. Their heavy as pigs just like the stealth, plus look at the horsep per liter dog, no comparo. i know for a fact i could smoke the junk out of any challenger or charger ever made if stock versus stock. plus i aint stock if you know what im sayin.

I just wanted to say thanks. I was fowarded this post by my GF since i was having a bad day. If you and your little but buddys are allowed to come out past sundown i will be in va for a week starting the 9th of march. I would like to meet you for a run. hell if you had the title to the RICED out Bigwheel that you call a car i would take that from you but i know a pathetic McDonalds employee will have a car paymet till you die. I will bring my 94 Stealth R/T TT (DR650's with supporting mods) out and give you 2 cars and still kick the crap out of you. As far as the SRT NEON goes even modded they are STIL A NEON. I owned one for about 3 weeks and realised that FWD Sucks. So i got rid of it for something that was a better DD. I picked up a M5 for a DD (big kids can buy and maintain real cars)


Now for education
1. The Supra/3000GT(JDM)/SC300/Soarer(JDM) is a I6 RWD and has never been AWD (I owned a SC300 T-66 for 2 years)

2. The 3000GT/Stealth/GTO(JDM) on TT models they have always been 3.0L AWD 5sp 91-93 6sp 94+ Front Engine cars ( I still own 1)

3. Civic SI- The civic Si even if you mod the crap out of it it is still FWD (my ex had one of the prized purple 00s) Even modded it sucked
