That is the most completely stupid and ignorant thing ive read in at least fifteen minutes, (its hilarious).

Le2005 where in the hell did you find a Camaro with a 20 gallon gas tank? They never made one. The largest ive heard of was a 14. I had an 85 that only held about 12.7 gallons.

Nissan kid, please feel free to look up JD Power and associates reliability and consumer satisfaction polls, I think youll be suprised. I know the Chevy Malibu ranks higher than a Honda Civic and a Mercedes E-class in mechanical, feature, and overall quality, and was given the same overall appeal as the E-Class. You may dismiss these figures, but look around, the "big 3" have come very far in the last few years.

Tigger,

Trying to explain anything to these 12 year old kids is pointless. Half of them havent even driven these cars they speak of. They talk about Japanese cars being "superior", though they can only back the retarted statements up with stuff they heard at the local ricer meets. It seems that idiots prefer domestics too, hence the creator of this thread. Sit back and relax, grab a bowl of popcorn and watch as they spew *** opinions/facts about useless garbage.

Seems the readers of consumer reports like their imports as well.

Yeah I know DRSLT1. Its sad, really. I just have to try  . And your right, ignorance doesnt seem to favor either side of the Pacific. While ive probably met more people who show a pointless hatred of domestic cars, I have met plenty of domestic guys who hate anything Japanese. The reasoning on both sides is always crap. But I feel the need to at least try to enlighten a few of these kids, because some one has to eventually.

I'm glad I read all the posts before commenting. This post is pretty old and obviuosly the moron who posted this dumb ass thread was not successful in his venture. He most likely supported the failed NAFTA and CAFTA, which has crippled our national economy with its indirect effect of getting jobs and careers out sourced and shipped out of country. All thanks to those American companies and the richest 1% or 2% of the wealthiest Americans that control it all. ( info courtesy of LOU DOBBS @ CNN)
I don't care for those super ignorant few who's oppinions never shape the countrys over all performance. I agree that we should create jobs in America for Americans but when the BIG 3 are out sourcing and laying off as they have been... we all see the news, hopefully, so I won't get into detail. Our government and our reps have failed us and our country. We are where we are due to their failure... not because of a few million Japanese cars in the U.S.!
On the real... If American car companies want more American cars sold in America, they need to refocus their options and truelly compete with the Japanese in their same game... QUALITY! None of the American companies are as impressive as the Japanese at this. They may have a few models that compete well but over all they are in need of a QUALITY OVERHAUL if they want to win. GM is the only one that has stayed on top of their game and it shows in their over all national sales figures. Toyota is in second place for a reason. Look it up.

Oh, before I forget... LAMBOONE and LLDJSLIM need to stop and think at what has been dominating the automotive market!
I don't hate Domestics and lord knows that an old school muscle car is a must to have in a collection, if you can afford a collection. But to sound as stupid as lldjslim with the dumbest comment ever made.....!
There, I responded to this and now I feel foolish for doing so, 'cause he obviously left by way of lldjslim. NO COJONES at all for debate by another guttless idiot!!!!!!

jching, my name is Frank Soberal! The genuine BlackMonkey. While trying to rescue what reputation I still have as a person, due to ID theft by my cousin, I saw this post and it got me hooked. The previos post by my cousin is pretty much on point. GM and Ford have pretty much out sourced most, if not all already, to either Mexico or Canada. I don't exactly knmow about Chrysler. NAFTA has been a failure and that is evident by news reports and the detailed fact that have been evident in recent years through the loss of jobs across America. I like free trade, but not at the expense of American jobs being out sourced to other countries because of how much cheaper it is to produce there. The question now begging to be answered is what is American made now? Subaru makes their cars here in the U.S., Nissan has two plants here in the U.S. and so does Honda. Toyota also makes cars in the U.S.! So what truelly is American made? I've noticed how this great country of ours has been slowly raped of its glory and to quote my cousin... Our politicians have failed all Americans by catering to the lobyists that don't give a flying snot about us! Watch the news and see for your self where we're headed.

Just to clarify... I don't know exactly how many plants the Asian auto makers each have but I know that they are making cars in the U.S.
Heck, even Hyundai is making cars here. If lamboone were to focus on the fact that there is jobs being created by the japanese here in the U.S., he wouldn't be so adament in trying to bann the so called "Japanese imported" car that is actually made on American soil! The American auto makers are not doing so well. Take ford for example... they are doing extremely well in Europe and they are focused on their market while we here are seeing plant closings and out sourced materials etc., etc.! I don't understand why the government wouldn't support us instead of big companies pockets. That is what its all about, in the end.
