i also had the nismo lip kit, a catback exhuast, stripped interior (no carpet and no hatch carpeting), i had the sleepy eye ground cut that my freind helped me do (cut the brown wire then switch up then switch down quickly to get them to stay mod)

i had a grant steering wheel (red), and yes......it did have apc front seats (which i thought were the coolest back then)

it had a huge carbon fiber spoiler that i removed and i have sitting in my room right now propping up my welding *** like i isaid im not googling this *** have been where you are nad i moved on from it.

keep talking trash on my civic im not pissed i just think you're ignorant ......the s12 is a great car that too many enthusisats over look, but swapping an sr20det into them are hard as it is, here you're going to swap an rb26 where it is a big job on an s13. with the little knowledge of automotive *** and lack of welding i highly doubt you're doing the swap.......and yes i do know that the mounts are oil filled like the s2k. IMHO the s12 is a GREAT car if you swap in an ca18DET utilizing many features of todays sports cars

i know im a "kid" but i DO know a lot more than you give me credit for

I'm not trying to be condescending towards you, civic.slow, it just sound as if you're attacking me again. That's all. I know what you're saying and what I've been doing with this car of mine, with the help of others in my shop, is a big undertaking! It is as big a job as swapping an RB26 into a s13! I never implied that it was easy... I've been working on this for the better part of a year and a half with many set backs and headaches that are too many to mention. I've said that I lack welding experience already. That's why there are people in my shop that do it better than me. Exhuast welding and body fabrication welding are two different worlds and require different skills than what I'm capable, and willing, to do. I know my limits! And from now on I'm going to mention the work my guys do more so that there is no confusion as to who is doing what on my car. I don't want to take away from those that have had an input with my car. It's not fair to them. I haven't told them my plans for the rav4 yet once I catch up with all the bills... Picture this... A 2JZ powered rav4! That is going to be harder than crap to do! No ROOM!!! But hey... I'm crazy like that! LOL!!!
I like you, kid. We may have had our spat but I hope we can put that behind us and enjoy the cars and not the fighting. I hope you do finish your engine soon, if it's not done yet. I'm sure it will run pretty strong.
What kind of paint scheme are you going with for the body? Are you considering a sleeper look, you know...clean and simple or go crazy with some graphics? I think that either way is good 'cause you would be able to back it up in what ever look you go with!!

So, Blackmonkey joins in November posting that he is thinking about installing an RB26 in his '87 200SX that currently has 280HP.  Now a couple months later he claims to have an 1,100HP monster?

What state do you live in Blackmonkey?

First off, I was building the engine and was almost finished with it when I posted.
Second, The reason I posted the thread was to find a fabricator to rework the fire wall and the floor to my specs. I'm not good at body work... actually I suck at body work!
Third, asking me where I live is not kosher so don't expect an answer to that. If you can respect that, we can be cool and resect you in return.
AND FOURTH, awsome ride you posted...
I could be wrong but is it a 68' or a 69'?  No doubt that a lot of work went into that 'cause it looks really good!

You know... on second thought... it wont hurt to let you know what state I live in... CT. I can understand your thinking and there is a lot that was not mentioned when I posted so if there is some thing that you wish to know, besides pics that I still wont give any one yet, I'm willing to share as much as possible about it. I'm trying to not let the pessimists get the better of my pride. I wont give in 'till I come back from racing at the Isla Bonita! Gotta protect my assets till then! You know?

My other account got screwed up.  Thanks for the comments on the car.  I just wanted to know what state you were in not an address.

You were running your mouth about how heavy and slow V8 cars are.  If you were with in a couple of states from me I would drive to you so you could beat my slow car.

Your opinion is not in touch with reality and you act more like a 15 year old kid than a 39 year old man.  I have nothing against imports.  I own a Lexus, Honda and 2 Chevy's.  We have a few 10 second Hondas and a 9 second Supra and a 9 second Toyota truck at our local track but fast V8 cars far out number the fast imports

I am dead serious about driving to you to race but I live in California and you say you live in CT so I'm not driving accross country.

My car doesn't put out 1,100HP and it weighs 3,350 with me in it but it will still run quicker than your car.  How about we post video's of dyno and track runs plus a shot of our cars on a scale?

Here is a pic of my car at Sacramento raceway so you can see I do live in California.

Well, later this month I should have video of my car on the dyno, at the track and on the scale to show the weight.  I'll even say something on the video so you will know it is me.  Once I have the video I'll post it in this thread.

Until then Blackmonkey.

Hey, so yeah...I just joined this forum. I've been reading them religiously for the past week. I traded in my heavily modded truck and bought a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. I know this may not be the thread to be posting this but this has been the one I've found most interesting. The car is 100% bone stock right now so I definitely will not be fighting any one of you and telling you I can beat you in a race. Ha ha. Just wanted to say keep up the good work on bashing one another. You have kept me entertained ; ) I wanted to built my own profile so that when I see yet another mistake when it comes to auto stuff, I can put in my two cents. I've worked in the automotive industry most of my life (father owned garage and parts store). Maybe one day one of you will have a problem I can help with. Thanks for reading this pointless post.

This post is for BOOsted and any other person that may have come in contact with the individual, my cousin Jose, who was posting with my nick name.  My name is Frank Soberal, the genuine BlackMonkey! I am sorry that you had to respond to this idiot of a family member and I personally feel obligated to appoligize to you. I wish that you could stand next to me when Jose returns from Florida so that you and I could reassemble his person in the most painful way imaginable.
I don't think that if you and I were to exchange ideas that it would have come to the words that were actually said by him. I am extremely sorry that words were exchanged between you and Jose. I have no words other than my appoligy to express my feelings. I wish I did have the words. My reputation was twisted and misused by Jose and he will be served by me. There is no forgiveness for this disrespect to you or to me or to any other. You mostly, BOOsted, due to the exchanges you had with my idiot cousin. I don't know how much damage he's done in my name and I am enfuriated beyond any reasonable words! Again, I am extremely sorry. I have read your comments and find you to be very inteligent and well versed in the automotive world. Again, I am extremely sorry!

lmao...

No worries Blackmonkey. Your cousin isn't too bright when it comes to cars, and the people with real experience knew it.

It's cool, he hasn't affected me in any negative way, I just kept poking fun at him.
