Im talking about the maintenance, and how much it takes to take care of a good car. Lets say for example the mazda RX7 which contains valuable resources for maintaining your vehicle, including the manufacturer-recommended service intervals, the parts and labor required for each servicing.

Unfortunately, maintenance work is a part of keeping your car healthy for the long haul! Wear and tear is a part of a cars life. The harder you are with it the sooner it will need some thing. Even if you take it easy, there will be some maintenance required at some point. Neglect an oil change for a period of 1 year or so and see how long the engine lasts. Every thing man made is made to fail at some point of its exsistence. It's called PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. No company or industry is innocent of this phrase. If it weren't for this phrase there wouldn't be an aftermarket for parts and repair facilities like garages and dealers. Think of how many things would be affected if nothing ever broke down or needed maintenance! I had more to write about this but I think that my point has gotten across. Until some gets tired of making money on imperfection, ther will be an industry for maintenance requirements.

HAHA RX7 is the worse thing to maintain, unless its done right from the start. I own an Rx7 and lemme tell you this, problem after problem, but i love my car. theres alot to do with an rx7 that i definitely recommend you take the car to a shop, unless your really ready to learn a whole new ball game in motor work... LOL

I used to assist a mechanic who loved them and swore to his children that it wasn't high maintenance. Well,... it was sorta' high but not compared to some other cars like VW and the worst of them all... The 1981 JAGUAR! I like how they look, but man do they leave a bad taste in the electrical dept.! RXs are sweet and are slightly high maintenance and all but if you want one you just have to learn about the rotary some. I don't find rotaries bad just a little too high maintanence for my taste.

Cars are an expensive hobby. There's no getting around it. Especially older cars that are modded. It's a black hole, and some of us enjoy it.

Hi guys my car doesn't need pistons because it contains magical triangles that spin around in a little oval shape.
On topic: Yeah, customizing cars tends to be a bit of an expensive hobby, but it's better than buliding plastic models all day.
