Dude, much respect for the job over seas... And I'm very happy to know that you're ok. This 04 civic is a pretty popular model to do engine swaps to. And you're right about the original engine it carries, it does seem to be on the weakling side of the spectrum. K20 engines can be found every where there is a junk yard, which is where I suggest you start your search. Unless you don't want to deal with what comes along with inspecting one of those junk yard treasures. In the end, any used engine will need to be inspected and have parts replaced, for longevity. There are many companies that sell remanufactured engines for tuning purposes as well. A lot of the tuning magazines have adds for those places. Unfortunately, that costs some money and if you're not handy with tools and not very mechanically inclined you will find it frustrating. Engine mounts for this kind of swap can also be found at innovativemounts.com. You will have to explain your swap and the rest they will take care of. Again, it's a popular car to build and there are no shortages of knowledgeable people out there to guide you on your way. It will cost you well over 4k to 5k if you don't do it your self. Again, it will depend on how much you can actually do your self. Hope it helps some.
