It's cool, dude. I know you didn't mean any thing by it, I just wanted to clarify in case some one else misunderstood. Steve69 does have a sick ride. I would love to be at track side to see it run some day. I love the old stuff kicking ass on asphalt, even if it doesn't win. Coll if it does, but just having your senses filled with the sounds and smell of rubber and fuel from all the beasts rumbling makes me nastalgic. I miss my 200sx... want my RB26DETT... Damned economy!

Not to be rude or correct you, but I think he just said it was the yenko engine, from what I understood, he never said it was a true yenko, only referenced to the engine... In which case, (dont hold me to this) might be able to be bought from a scrapyard and fixed up.

A yenko engine is a rightious find for any muscle car GM makes. I saw a Typhoon pick up with a Yenko engine in it once at a car show. I saw it once that year and that was it. It seemed to have disapeared off the face of the map. It was cool, though.

Yeah, I dont remember the exacts but I think there were only a couple thousand EVER manufactured and you have to think especially back then how many of them were wrecked because not to be kinda rude, but back then. Nobody knew how to drive lol. But back to my point. More and more are going to be wrecked or totally rusted to the point of no return. I dont know on this one either but my guess is that there are most likely less than a couple dozen true yenko's left.
What a shame.

You're most likely right about that. It's rare to see one around any more. It's more of a novelty to see one, now a days. It's sad, really. As far as driving habbits from then and now... It's gotten worse, in my oppinion. It seeems as if a day doesn't go by when there is some idiot driving like a moron because he's in a rush or doesn't care for the rules of the road. The roads are more conjested than 10 or even 15 years ago and people think that driving a car is their right. I can't speak for every one, but I know that my peeps here are safe drivers. I would hurt very deeply if I found out I lost a friend due to some ones ignorant driving. And the word IGNORANT covers a whole slew of topics.

The only rule of the road that you should always keep to your self is... be aware of your surroundings and don't let any one keep you from being aware. You have a lot of things going on in your head while driving and BS from friends and cell phones will keep you from being aware. I lost a friend to a person who wasn't aware due to cell phone use. the other driver didn't see he was off of his line and went head first into my pal. Neither survived. It happened in Puerto Rico when I was 15. I'll never forget it. I was 8 cars behind him on the through way from San Lorenzo to Caguas... I have to call his mom now. A flush of good memories rushed into me. I'll get back on tonight.

Im sorry! Thats so sad! I am one of the safest drivers I know. Cellphones are never an issue cause I dont use it in the car at all. I have seen some of what you are talking about though. One of my friends was racing and the idiot he raced I dont know how, but got distracted. He crashed his car into him and both totaled their cars. My friend was lucky. The other guy went off the road and rolled his car. This was highway driving and im almost sure that my friend would have rolled his too, but when we swerved left, he ran into the concrete barrier. That saved his life! Im not saying racing is bad, but if you do, dont be a dousch and try crashing the other guy or whatever. Keep it on the track too! I lived my life a quarter mile at a time all through high school and still do sometimes but Its scarce that I have time!

I spoke to my boys (rest his soul) mom in Puerto Rico. She was happy to hear from me and we spoke for 2 hours. Unfortunately, she lost her youngest son to a similar incedent a year ago. I knew that dude really well too. Man, he was only 37 when it happened. It's sad to lose so many people that you know.

I understand. I have never had anyone die, but I had a friend that got T-boned as well. His eclipse got hit by a tahoe running a red light. He stayed in the hospital and in bed for like 6 months before he was well enough to leave the house. He was only 15 when that happened. And Im happy that atleast you got ahold of the mom.

bit behind but theres a big difference between a yenko and a 427. a 427 is a crazy expensive motor but for a true yenko motor... i don't think you could find one no matter how hard one was to look. they're rare.
