I have to say though. My mopar breaks so often that Im getting rid of it. It is an 80's but still, not worth the *** I have to do to make it work. Im getting something Japanese. Want a R34 but wont be able to afford that for um, somewhere in the vacinity of 3 years. Freshman year in college im getting one. Ill fly out to cali and drive it back to the east coast just to have one! There eh-mazing! but until then Im going to settle for a (maybe- depends on whats on the market in about 2-3 months) Civic b16 hatch, 240 or 300 zx or dodge stealth/3000gt
Just need something more economical than a V8. Goal for new car: 22-25 MPG

Yeah, you are right about the trucks. Domestic trucks do have TOUGH written all over, but as with any thing informative JDM trucks are slowly taking their place. I don't see them being any tougher than a Domestic truck, but they will draw some attention in the reliability department. As far as newer diesels not smelling as much... you need to stand two bays from one to realise that it smells like acid mixed with refried engine oil and some beans... I can't stand it, personally, but diesels are the wave of the near future. They do go a lot farther on a tank of fuel compared to gas powered cars and they do put out some serious power to the wheels to boot. I like my imports, though. Maybe a diesel import...? LOL!

I was at a diesel drag race a couple weekends ago and there was a diesel jetta that ran in the E.T. races. The guy actually did pretty well. I think he made the semi finals. He wasn't fast, but he was consistent, which having a completely stock car helped. I think his dial in was 18.0. The race was open to all diesels so the jetta fit the bill, but it was still really funny to see a little car out there with all the big trucks.

I've seen diesels really sticking it to gas engines with some really impressive numbers. I went to an event some years back and it was held at an abandoned air strip. Only a few people were notified of the event. The shop I was affiliated with at the time was given an invitation and the whole shop went, including me. The trucks that I saw were nothing to sneeze at. Dropped and smelling of diesel, but MAN did they haul a$$. One truck was beating a vette over a 4 race event. The vette owner was insistant. LOL! Any way, it was fun to see them race even if the smoke they generated was choking me to death. LOL! Before I forget to answer r33-fanatic2, yes, I've seen the pics and vids of the truck/s13 hybrid and cabrio s13. I didn't forget you bud, things turned to another subject there. Sorry. LOL! It's a cool concept, though. Isn't it?

I sorta do the same against most domestics on exit 27a off of I95 north bound in Bridgeport, Ct. That exit goes onto rout 8/25 North. Anyone from Ct. that's taken that exit knows it well. LOL! There's all ways some dude in a truck or some boat that thinks they can out turn me on that exit. My Rav4 is dropped an inch and a half from stock and ever since the upgrades, that exit is the most fun any one can have. I go on that exit going close to 50mph, solid! Now, if only I had some serious hp... I could drift that exit all the way...

That would be interesting to see, bro. I like your ride, too. I haven't seen any Trans Ams around at all lately. It's really sad to see Pontiac go out the way they did. The Trans Am model that you have is a monster of a car. I hear that Chevy is bringing back the Z28 Camaro to compete against te Mustang GT500KR. I wouldn't mind seeing that, also. All that horse power and competition between the companies and no answers to the age old questions that follow such an event. If ever such an event happens soon... I WANT TICKETS TO SEE IT! Can you imagine? The Z28, GT500KR, GT-R and Trans Am all in one arena. May the show begin for the enjoyment of us all and I hope soon.
