I have to clean all the crap from on top of it, clean it a bit and take shots of it. I kinda have the interior dismantled and waiting for my touch. It's been sitting for 6 years, so you can understand all th crap on it. The engine is in good shape, though. I hand crank the engine for 10 minutes every week so that it does't seize on me. I lubricate the pistons once a month as well. I'll have to post it on facebook or some thing, cause I don't guite get how to post pics directly on to here. I guess it's due to being an old fart. I'm so old, I fart dust! I had to throw a funny at you at my expense. LOL! I'll get on your request this week end. I have work piled up on my drive way that need to be fixed and given back to my customers. I won't forget, though. My s12 isn't the "gold nugget" of cars out there, but it's mine and a work in progress. LOL! I'll take pics of the 300Z trans internals that I aquired as well.

I don't know about all that. LOL! I'm no fan of domestics either, but if I were given a MACH1 Mustang from the late 60s or a 49 Mercury custom... ooooo yeah! They have their place, bro. Need you not forget that most of our import tech was started out by emulating some of what was done to domestic cars. If it weren't for hp crazy guys in the auto world we wouldn't any thing. If you want to know some thing else, Mopar and Ford motorsport divisions make pretty nasty cars in the form of the GT500kr Mustang and the Mopar powewr house... and it would figure that I forgot the name of the damned thing... It's a two seater... Not the Prowler, the other one... I can't remember for the life of me, now. It'll come to me, but you know the one, I hope... LOL! Any way, muscle is muscle, no matter what the car. We just happen to like our imports better. Cool?

I hear you on that one. At least there are the few with deep pockets that do the respect earning for us on track. Don't fret, bro, they'll come around. Some guys at my shop are the same way. I don'tcare at all what they say, because when it comes to what really counts, our cars are not stuck on the side of the road nearly as much as domestics are. I have yet to be stuck in my Rav4 and it's a "97". Most Ford guys can't claim the same. If there's a Ford guy on this site that dislikes what I said, don't make me out to be a Ford hater. I'm no fan, but I don't hate them. I work on them all day 6 days a week and they don't have nearly the same quality and durability as a Japanese car and that comes from experience. WHAT! LOL! That was in fun.

Hah, it really depends on which company and car for reliability. Toyota, Nissan and Honda are all very reliable. Mitsubishi, not even close. I've been lucky with my VR4, but there are a lot of DSMs and 3kgts that have chronic lemon problems. My brother's Mopars almost never have breakdown issues (but the 70's were better than the 80's and 90's for domestics anyway)
---- 1994 3000gt VR4 nothin wrong with front-wheel drive, I just refuse to own one

Domestics had their day. I think that over all the domestic car has improved. Not as much as the JDM stuff, but still much improved. Where American cars are lacking is in the general dependance area of use. Certain things should not fail within 5 years of use. The Japanese cars do hve a few tat have issues and like all cars have TSBs that come out from time to time, but if you recall some of the TSBs from the past 10 years or so all three domestic car companies get a failing grade compared to the Japanese car companies. My Rav4 has a few TSBs that I can live with and as long as it's not som thing that will IGNITE my car into a heaping FIRE BALL... I'm ok with it. Most of the TSBs on my Rav4 have been creature comfort issues that don't merrit any attention. All three domestic cars makers have had safety issues that should have been ironed out before the things were put onto the roads. But hey, that's just my oppinion. I worked for a GM dealership, a Chrysler and currently for a Ford dealership over the years and none of them have impressed me greatly when comparing them with the Japanese cars. I have to say that Ford is setting the bar higher, but the jury is stil out on the quality of the new stuff they are marketing. Japanese quality far out paces the Domestic market, bar none. I hope American car companies cann get their act together. I wouldn't mind investing in a domestic car as long as it has equal quality as a JDM car. Time will tell, though.

Every once in a while I read this site for a good laugh. There are definitely a lot of kids that run their mouths with zero knowledge from both sides. There are some very good domestics out there, and not all of them are cars. Sorry but there isn't an import truck out there that will go toe to toe with the diesel 3/4 and 1 tons. The car companies just followed what the consumers were doing. Mainstream America started trading in their vehicles every couple years for the new thing in the 90s, so the car companies decided longevity wasn't as important in some vehicles. They are paying for it now, but there were still a few vehicles that they kept durability as a requirement. I do think that things are going to change with which engines are the choice motor, but I don't think it will be V8 to a 4 cylinder. The change is going to be gas to diesel. Diesels aren't slow and smelly any more, and they have a ton of potential. A diesel can take a lot more boost pressure than a gas motor, just the way it is. My trucks run 45 psi and the other I have to get a different gauge, it is something more than 60 psi, those are both daily drivers on just regular diesel. Right now you can only get the motor I like in a full size truck but I'd love to see some sports cars with diesels. I know they are finally starting to do it in Europe but the big 3 need to make some.
