k im 15 and debating which car to start on thts affordable all i hav to run on is $3000 so any suggestions (also wanting to race it so cheap and fast is wat im aiming for)  

same here cept i'm 17 and i got stuck with a 4 door toyota camry... automatic ...i wanted a nice 'stang or something but got stuck with the camry... so i'ma work with wat i got.. i dont wanna be some wanna be guy that thinks his car is cool cuz he has a body kit ...forget the body kit... my main focus is under the hood... just wondering what to do and where to start  

Okay; the both of you can find sports cars in your budgets.

I personally drive an '89 Supra that I bought for $500. It didn't run and it has body damage. After replacing the radiator, engine, exhaust system (full, not cat-back), intake, and seals, I still haven't surpassed the value of the car.

This same vehicle can be had for between $1500 and $2500 in most areas.

I would check Craigslist or your local auto mags.

wow.......you sound like me when i was younger......dude ...........im just going to say it straight out.......its not worth all that *** know its fun etc etc....but ive been in and out of the court house...gotten so many ref tickets.....told my parent lies to go race.........witnessed a crash from one of my freinds out on the street.........what do you have after you risked your life, freedom and others lives.......less money, and a car that is barely streetable......take that 3 grand you have. buy a used camry.....get a job....go play football for the school  

dont go street racing man, go find a local track at least  

Hmmm... 15 years old and thinking on the fast lane. I see in your future a very bad accident causing your death. Learn some real world skills and maybe, after a few years of practice and responsibility, go to a race style driving school, at a race track,  and learn some more driving control. I've seen it before and will continue to see young pups with no real experience behind the wheel killing and being killed. Remember what a car weighs and the impact forces that are present when a car crashes. you, compared to the car, are no match for the end result of inexperience. Get a beater or stay with the beater you got until you learn to respect the road and every one on it first. The ones that die in a car related death the most are the young, due to inexperience, and the old for not reacting in time. Yeah, I know that if you are going to die there is no stopping it, but come on, a little common sense could go a long way in keeping people alive. God forbid if I ever get smacked by a young pup behind the wheel. He will never see the next day, PERIOD. With all the info out there on this subject, there is no excuse!  

Hyundai Accent, mid 90s. Nobody likes them, for obvious reason. They will, however, think twice after you do some research and drop a Tiburon motor in them.

Thats one possibility.  

if you cant drive yet what makes you think you can drive fast. if you dont have a liscence you dont need a fast car. learn how to drive get some experience then goto a driving school to learn the basics then take it from there
