i used to read this mag along with honda tuning, and import tuner way back. when i was in middle school/high school.
well im a mech engineering college student now, and am trying to get certified as a welder to pay through school. left for school from being a tech at a kia dealership. im still 19 LOL
LOL first rembered reading about some crazy guy named dr. charles....and his ef beater wagon powered by a k24 is fing sick.
and the b-series shoot out LOL then in high school auto got into some motors that the school didnt need. involved a d16z6, and d16y7. ran out and bought 2 b series...pretty fun motors.
anyways hee is what im working on now:
it orignally was a 93 frost white automatic coupe, here are a few pics. it speaks for itself.
plans. k24/k20 hybrid motor, nitrous oxide, maybe a turbo in the futre. its got the integra rear discs in it, rear sway bar, hybrid racing mounts, k20a2 (rsx-s) oil pump, pan, windage tray, water/oil cooler, k20a2 head.
it will have: rbc manifold, rbc cam chain guide, rdx 440cc's, bdl 70mm throttle body, k20a-r camshafts, k20a-r transmisson. hoping to hit 11's in it (should be more than enough to hit 10's)

19... and I was wondering why you reminded me of all those little kids that talked too much. I'm not raggin' on you, kid, but I do see why you talk. What you've shown is good and I don't see a problem with what you have built so far. But it's a honda... What can you do to it that some one else hasn't already done? That is my point... originality. You wanted me to give you some more specs on my car... for what... so you coould say how much more power or how much more reliable? Dude, I own and run a shop that employs 15. And my need for a body guy wasn't just for my personal gain. I've been running a shop and working on cars since before you could wipe your self properly. I've been racing and building engines for just as long. And because you didn't get the straight answer you wanted from me you just ussumed. My comment to you, and I say it respectfully to you, is you are not doing any thing that I haven't already seen. I've traveled to Puerto Rico, Spain, Portugal, France, Mexico... any way, that isn't my point... the point is that I've built engines and have had the honor of racing against the Sains brothers of Spain and many more because of my love affair with engines. I learned my trade on the track... hands on and became very, very good at what "I" wanted to be good at. I'm 39, holmes, and experience is better than what a book could ever give you. I'm not knocking education, keep at it!!! Just the young attitudes, like yours, that haven't lived long enough to understand it. I like your attitude, but don't kill the experienced folk just because a book says different. A Nissan and Toyota in-line6 engine has way more torque potential than a honda I4 or even a Nissan I4. Can we agree to that at least. Don't lecture me on your I4 when the specs for my engine are totally different from yours. Nitrous? I like that... When you've built as many engines as I have you can debate me with more experience instead of just the one engine you've built so far.

Way to earn some ones respect, kid. you'll go far like that. Its an RB26 transmission with the all whhel drive transfer case included. Had it shipped from japan at a fairly decent price. I have friends out there that visit my house in Puerto Rico from time to time. And I'm not a natural born Puerto Rican, kid, I'm 3rd generation USA all the way! So keep the ethnic crap out of your pie hole. I'm stripping the unit down so that I can give you the specs that you are whining about. Keep tight cause it's hard to do things with broken ribs. I'll get it to you as soon as I can. And, dude, I've been pretty decent to you so far and bantering is fun, ok, but the ethnicity thing needs to be reigned in a little. You have a lot of ethnic groups in this furum that may get really nasty with you and I truely don't wish that on you. I don't know you and I can forgive you for the ignorant stuff like that, and I don't know you to forgive you so you're off the hook with me about the ethnicity stuff. And to continue the banter in "FUN" I'm calling you out as well. Go to my thread and see what it is.

Yeah kid, way to tip off your prospective competition of your stuff. I can't afford to be as care free as you are. Again, you lack the experience to under stand that. But hey, keep posting pics so that I, and ever one who might want to race you, can one up you on the hard ware you have. If you don't see my point of not posting pics of your build, then, you really don't under stand. Old school people who still race on track don't do those sort of things 'cause of the loss of potential money gains involved. If your building to street race, which I hope you don't do, you'll get smoked 'cause of giving your competition a free look at your hard ware. Take the advice kid! Or learn the hard way, the choice is yours. I do like what you're planning for your car... it's a good build so far. Keep it up! If you plan on testing it on track, then, have fun there as well. In the future, if you should ever see a logo on any car that says BLACKMONKEY RACING, check us out to see the extent of my shops work. 'Till then, I really never had any thing to prove to you or to my competition, by the way, which is why I won't share. I was just keeping my secrets mine. I hope you understand. Do well in school and I'll see you out there some day. I was never your enemy, kid, just trying to enlighten you some, but, oh well.

civic.slow: yupppppppppp se how i have PICS and EVIDENCE of what i own............hahah
that qoute would be valid if the following werent true:
1: i NEVER will own a race team or hold a sponsor ever, don't plan on it..........
2: i strictly build my cars for fun, or just to see what i can do. it's a learning experience.
3: ill never open up a shop. just don't want to. not my thing.
4: anyone who looks under the hood of this thing should be able to see what i have if not, they're not worth their *** on the track..............
5: only track im going to attend = 1/4 mile i plan on towing the car there with my 97 1500
i have no competition, the car is not my income, its a liablity....... so i really don't care who see's it

Sooo, your argument with me was as pointless as bears wearing sheep skin coats. You may have a little experience in what you're doing but won't make a living at it like I do. Here's your sign!!! I like you kid, but, If you don't expect to build and race what you make you can't ever see what will actually benefit your vehicle to make it fast. That's why, I guess, it will only be a hobby to you. I make my money doing this, and respectfully, don't see why your advice at any thing would matter to any one who races at a track frequently for money and pinks. A serious tuner lives his craft and makes money at it. Keep doing what you do, though. School is a better way of life any way. Again good luck in your studies. Make sure no one in your neighborhood knows you and decides to raid you while you're out 'cause of all your pics. It's happened me and it can happen to any one.

wow man race for pinks and money on a track, wow you sound like an idiot. i REALLY think you're full of *** i don't know how you even make a profit outsorucing evrything since you're not a "body" guy, WTF does that even mean........... you also outsource motor builds, swaps, modification......what do you do?
just have the customer come to you then split the work 8 diffrent ways mark it up and give him his car back?
*** if it works keep going, you never have to get off your ass and you can claim all theshit you want over the internet.......you don't have my respect stop trying to get it and GTFO out of my thread
HPDe nasa's event or the honda challenge from the same sactioning body do NOT allow gambling of any sort, they only money you can win in a sanctioning body LEGALLY is from sponsors, event promotions (cash or parts), and constingencies (sponsors of the sanctioning body).
and no team will ever sign a pink slip over to the winner of a race.......................... both teams will be excused from the sanctioning body for life, meaning that you can't race ever again.
i was thinking about going into NASA/SCCA honda challenge
H3 circuit, it's cheap, you can literally road race for 2500 a weekend............... but i can't afford it right now, and my freinds and i would be the only members of the team, meaning 2 of us are ex mechanics, the rest only know light suspension work...... and i probably would'nt be able to pull a sponsor except for the constingceny stickers which are optional (50 ish per sponsor of the evnet per race) so you could win some of your money back if you cam in first everytime, but H3 isnt viewed as the fastest or even an exciting race.
however H1 mid-ohio is getting bigger everyyear.

My aren't we a narrow minded sanctioning body suck up! You obviously don't get out much, do you? I'll keep it there since you've shown how well you pay attention at what is being said from every one. Again I ask, hpw do you learn when you can't even keep up with what's being said. ou still haven't proven any thing either with those pics. Just how long has every thing been covered up till you can afford to finish it? And no, not ever thing gets out sourced, pimple ear! You really don't read very carefully. I wonder how your grades are with that comprehention problem of you have?! You think that there are races happening every day that involve the sanctioning body? You are naive, kid, very naive! Next you'll tell me that some one who learns martial art has to expressly fight under a sanctioning body ruling. Ever heard of under ground racing on tracks, kid? No you haven't 'cause you don't get out of OHIO! What would you know, though. You didn't even know that Most races happen out of country and have no need for sanctioning bodies. Kids! Have fun with your studies 'cause there is meaning in trying to enlighten some one who has only seen what's on TV or just in his neighborhood!

No you haven't 'cause you don't get out of OHIO! You get the car clubs that want in to pitch in to the cost of renting the track, the cost of the ambulance and any other needed safety equipment and the rest is history! It's pretty organized, considering! What would you know, though. You don't even know that most of these same races happen out of country and have no need for sanctioning bodies. Kids!
