I'm not referring to you homies that spend their free time giving shout outs to the girls and passer bys on the street corner as you drive around in the passenger seat of your best friends dubbed out civic.
I'm talking about the guys who, when not devoting their lives to the VTEC/MIVEC/vvti gods, prefer to sit back in a lay-z-boy recliner and kick it with a few buddies to play some Halo 3, Super Smash Brothers, or other religious cult game.
As for me, I have to admit that I'm somewhat of a drifter(not the cool kind). I'll pick out a game and stick with it for a month or two and move on. When Halo 1 came out, I played it non-stop with my buddies. We went to tournaments(even won one or two of them), and spent every Friday piled over at someones house with two or three TVs, and sometimes up to twelve huge xbox controllers. After that, we moved on to Super Smash, then to a couple MMORPGS; Final Fantasy, CoH, WoW, back to CoV, Auto Assault, etc. We played Halo2, Gears of War, then Halo 3, and now we're all stuck on a game called Tabula Raza(basically City of Heros with guns instead of super powers).
Anyways, anyone else out there a gamer? Post up!

I'm currently playing Call of Duty 4 and it is freaking awesome! PC games are mostly my thing but I've been gaming on the 360 and PS3 at my buddy's pad.
Tabula Raza looks like a tight game. I have to check it out soon.
Also, I hit the arcades once in a while for SF3: Third Strike for tournament and casual play.

^wife and kids? Sorry to hear about that man. If I had to be punished with something that doesn't go away after having sex with a women, I'd choose genital lice over children any day of the week!
I'll admit that track days are fun, but a $50 video game lasts weeks, opposed to maybe 5 or 6 half hour runs at the track for $150, plus gas, tires, food, etc for the track day.

hah, my close cousin was the main graphics designer in the tabula raza game. but more to the point, i used to be obsessed with video games n' such however, after guitar hero 2 they lost their appeal... now that i've picked up real guitar and a real job i only have just enough time mess with the car and mess with my girlfriend ?
needless to say, not only do i not have time but i've lost interest... i might need to seek help...

I think Halo 2 with xbox live was amazing for its time...but right now at the top my list is Call of Duty 4, Bioshock, and Team Fortress 2, for PC of course...
sadly pc gaming is dying...Call of Duty on PC sold under 100,000 while for the XBOX360 alone it's been 1.5 million lol...

I have to agree with you about games losing their appeal. Part of me missing the old days where I'd spend 8 hours in front of a monitor playing games from dusk till dawn, but the other part loves spending those same 8 hours in front of a monitor getting paid to surf forums and publish articles for Super Street. I don't really have the time or cash for games anymore, as all my time goes into school, work and my girl, and all my money goes into saving up for my prized NSX, and the rest towards... well, my girl.
Ha ha ha ha. Oh well.

All I know is that even the GT5 prologue owns every other car game. Throw in the 'Ring, car damage and the real logitech steering wheel and you got yourself a danm fine way to spend a thousand bucks.
