Hey People,
I'm a first year tech and am graduating from school in march. I already got my 1st project lined up.
I got a 1997 Suzuki Swift with the 4cyl-1298cc SOHC MFI with a hole in the bottom end of the block sitting in my dads driveway.
I found a 95k block in a new york junk shop that I was thinking of buying. Little did I know, not too many people out there are crazy about this model car. The car is practically brand new, my sis drove the damn thing with no oil in the motor.
If I get the stock engine, can I install a small turbocharger?
If not, is there a honda/toyota engine that can be installed instead of the stock motor?

yoooo keeep the stock engine on that!!!! That engine gets 39mpg keep it!! Keep it N/A and just improve its efficiency you could get it to like 50mpg, plus it'd add slight hp increase.

If your wanting to go with turbocharged.. You will be looking into a low compression rebuild as well as all the supporting mods.. and possible have to sleeve the block. And im thinkin mitsu and suzuki used to have something that went along. My dad has a suzuki carry and i started lookin at the puny 3 cylinder engine and noticed that it had parts with mitsu symbols on it. Not sure if that was stock or what. Just something to look into.
