Anyways, so i need some help to see what should i put in a 1995 civic. In a couple of months i am going to file a $25,000 Bank Loan and i will use about 3g's for a 1995 Civic, and i am going to put 22,000 into the car. im going to change the engine add alot of parts to make the car 500+Hp then i will start applying the body kit and shave the door handles, apply lambo doors, add a sound system with custom fitting, and Paint the car.

if you'll have that much money i suggest not wasting it on a civic, use it to get something else like an s13, or eclipse gsx, or anything else you can get for less than 4000(try not to settle for an fwd if you plan to get it to 500hp, ur front wheels wont be able to handle that power probably and you could break something like the axle probably) Plus if you get an s13 you can put a blacktop sr20det on it that'll be beastly, or if you get the gsx that 4g63 will destroy. if you've already bought the civic, Sell it, because for some reason theyre so in demand now (gas milage), you could probably get from 2000 to even 5000, depending on the condition, for it. then from there use the rest of your money to tune up the new car. It would be much cheaper, plaus there are fewer performance parts for civics(but for some reason there are soooo many cosmetics for it...damm ricers). Or another option is just get a newer car for the whole 22000 and spend 3000 on tuning (thats probably all you would need because newer cars come with better stock performance). And if you still do get the civic and ignore me.......dont be an idiot ricer, dont get lambo doorrs for a civic!!!!! Dont start with cosmetic upgrades pleeease!! You can do that anytime you want, just dont .....just dont do that. its just wrong!! Its immoral!!

Yea umm i would suggest a whole different platform. With 22k invested i can have my car runnin High 9s-low 10s. With 22k invested into a civic and it still be daily driveable.. What would that be? 11s? 12s?

a 500hp civic runs low tens and it does not cost 22 thousand to do it. its a fine platform. it cheaper and more reliable thana mitsubishi or nissan. the sr20det is more money and more work to put int the 240, than an h22 or b18 in a civic. and the gsx is justa piece of shitt in general and parts are rare and expensive for those there is thousands of parts for that car. that is the most tuned vehicle in the last 7 years goto homemadeturbo.com they will be alot more helpful then anybody around here. around here if it is not rwd/awd turbo its not worth discussing

you should REALLY look into the k series plat form..........you need nowhere near 20k in a civic to run 10's.............with 20k i'd go ahead and start a bussiness in the scene.................

if you have any questions hit me up..........i love these "little" hondas..............

lot of magazine fanboys on this site????

check out hommadeturbo............don't forget to post PRON either FGT :P

Sensible advice always gets looked at in the end. Some of you gave advice that is right on. It's his venture, though. Front drives get a lot of attention. SS does a good job of mixing it up. I have, and have had, a mix of rear, AWD and front drives. I have no preference, really. As long as its fun to drive.
Go ahead and build your dream machine, but plan it right before you start. "Homemadeturbo" is the place to visit and learn, but it's not the only place. O.K.? LOL!

with that much money, i just would buy a new mazda speed3, already stocked with turbo at 272 hp, that would be plenty of power. 500 hp civic won't do any good cause u can't use it as a street legal car anyway. u can have a 1000 hp car but still can't use all that hp cause u ain't gonna be able to control it unless it only run on a straight line. 22 k customized civic is just a waist of money.

One question... what about all the factory cars that are pushing 500+ hp, stock. The new Mustang 500KR is over that and and so is the GT with the mid engine and both are street legal. What's the difference if the dude wants that, too? I'm not hostile towards you on this question, just curious to know what you think.

See? If it can be done, why take the fun out of it? Right? LOL! TheHormone has a point, though.

lol good points I have my 95 civic and I will be building mine up as soon as I get enough money to do it all. The reason why I wanted a FWD car is because they can drive in snow easy RWD will go all over the place lol and I like hondas.

Very good choice of cars, bud. Take your time in doing what you want to it.
As far as doing better in the snow... That depends on what you're used to driving. LOL! I've driven AWD and RWD platforms for almost all my driving history and I've never had any real issues in the snow. Nice and easy is how I go. Drifting in snow is fun, too! LOL!
Your car is your baby. Love your baby and then spoil her after you stroke her lines... That could go two ways in its meaning! LOL! Again, good choice in cars, bud. LOL!
