Well, Hondas are very versatile.  I mean, look at the abundance of parts.  Personally, I like Civics.  However, I'm at a tie between Toyota and Mazda.  I like how my friend's Celica drives.  But I'm also a fan of the RX-7 and 8.

I was being sarcastic but that's cool I guess. :P I'm not going to defame Suzuki since I have no actual knowledge of their vehicles.

Hey, eclipse2simply. Ask your self this question. What dominates the covers of all the import magazines? Sure the Evo did for a bit. And the played out Hondas have always been there. But, honestly. Nissan, Infinity, Toyota and lexus. They have been and will always be the horse power gods of the import world. Every one else has been playing horse power catch up to the engines made by these two car companies and their spin offs. don't be foolish in thinking that any body has better quality and horse power gains, besides Honda, than these cars. My slightly modified ca20e ingine, that's in my 1987 NISSAN 200SX could run circles around an Eclipse, and has. 'Nough said.

200sx....ruc circles around an eclipse .....i doubt it, maybe a gs eclipse but definitely not a gt or gst or gsx, not any of the dsm turbo ones and those are te ones that rlly count.......the nissan isnt a horsepower god.....neither is toyota, especially now...they just made good cars back in the ninety's and earlier 2000's. 350z doesnt count for this gen because its almost the exact same as when it 1st came out........toyota got rid of mr2, supra, and celica, therefore they arent horsepower gods. infiniti and lexus arent horsepower gods either. they are simply well engineering luxury brances of toyota and nissan. The reason manyy of them are able to create the type of cars they do is because of their salary from all their econo-cars like camry, corolla, for toyota, and altima, sentra, and maxima for nissan.......unlike those mitsubishi has never rlly made any econo-cars. The all their models except for a few suv's and japanese domestics like the rvr have been rally inspired....galant....rally inspired, evo.....obviously, montero, lancer etc...u get my point. Plus the eclipse and 3000gt's VR4, SL or even base were all MONSTER sports coupes. Plus....the fact that you see a lot of certain cars on import magazine's doesnt mean they are the greatest....the reason you see many nissan's and toyota's is because cars like the s13, s14, s15, g35, r32/r33 ae86, altezzas...is because of the current hypes on drifting and time attack.....evos are popular in time attack but they are mainly rally cars...have been always will be. Plus honda's are getting annoying but Honda have been making good engines that are still fun to tune thats why pple still see crx's...theyre classic beasts.......plus horsepower isnt everything look at the rotaries from mazda.....straight up an rx or miata wouldnt have enough power or def torque to catch up to like a skylike but nevertheless they're marvels of engineering and they perform better than many nissans or toyota's. Plus.... saying "nobody has better horsepower gains" is incorrect...a vr4 has better gains than a lot of nissan's or toyota's excluding the supra and skyline......theyre just unreal!........anyway the bottom line is you cant judge these companies by horsepower alone....nissan make good cars no doubt.....but theyre not better at awd tecnology than mitsubishi or subaru...same with toyota....thats why you wont see nissans in wrc. They both have greate engines but they could never top mazda in rotary engineering. Nor could they make engines as good as certain honda engines.........basically bluntly your post was a bit dum/ignorant and it wasted my time......you cant judge cars just by hp.....an elise has less hp than a 240sx but gets to 60 much faster.......dont make broad generalizations like that

We all need to keep focus on the fact that some of the higher end stuff, that the average joe livin' paycheck to paycheck and could never possibly get or drive, needs to get excluded. Comparing apples to apples instead of apples to ambrosia is kind of unrealistic. Honda accord to a skyline??? That's just an example but you get the picture. Let's compare sports cars to their equal and the econo car to its equal. And if you want to compare the ones that are extremely buildable, then, by all means 'cause that probably includes just about all the models mentioned. Honda has had a fair run in the tuning dept. with the civic being the king of tuned cars out there. BLEH!!! It got boring quick, didn't it? what about the most coveted cars out there? Every one knows which one they are. First, the Nissan Skyline! Second, if not equal to the Skyline, is the Toyota Supra. Those two are like the exotic cars of Europe. Figuritively speaking, of course. What Toyota and Nissan need to do is build one that matches or surpasses those Eurobeasts and really give the American car companies some thing to look at. At best, keep the V8 porker lovers like lldjslim shutting their pie holes up for good. To him, what's already out there doesn't seem to measure up to the RUSTANG and WHOREVETTE!!! He's the one that compares oranges to apples.... HEY!!! I out ran a RUSTANG this morning in my little 250hp 4cyl Rav4, go figure!!!

getting back to the original post... if i were to choose, i'd have to say acura solely due to the NSX, that things  a wolf without sheep's clothing! i drive a scion/Toyota and the only real issue i have with them is that its a pain in the tail pipe to install a sound system thats worth a fizzle. mind you thats not pertaining to anything engine related but OMFGGGG dose that affect my attitude towards them

Awwe maaaan... I wanted in on some more of this. It was getting interesting. I was rallying this past weekend and my partner, who was driving the third heat with me as navigator, crashed my Rav4. Doin' good time up 'til the crash. Been on the pc since 12: but kinda' hurt with 3 broken ribs. That was not why I'm posting, though. Maybe this thread should be killed... The original post asked which import was better and he convinced him self that it was the RX series of Mazda. What a way to answer your own question... duh!! Hey miamito616, I do value your input, you are right about what you said on 12/04/07 @ 6:33pm, but my o.e. ca20e is pushing in excess of 280hp and 200ft.lb. of torque. Not your average ca20e. And that's with a bad clutch. The clutch is my fault.
