for starting out.......... i suggest just simple stuff, a performance intake & exhaust. its already got a solid setup being a gst, youve got turboeed 4g63 thats pretty fast enough there. Yeah a front mount would help but i dont suggest tht until you know if you're keeping factory turbo or if youll be upgradign ti with a different aftermarket kit, but i aslo suggest getting good brake kit. oh and replace your cat and maybe fuel filter. I think thats good enough for starting out. If you want to do more then it all depends on your money and what you really want for yor car.

yea ...well i've already decided to get that bov, fuel pump, and exhaust, then maybe some heads...will the car mess up if I decide to get that front mount then maybe like a month or two later get a venom intake manifold?

I have a QR25DE in my 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R, Recently doing a compression test im getting about 40lbs into cylinder one, there metal shaving in my oil and i need all need piston rings and my valve is bent. So i need a new engine..... heres my question.
Is there a better engine to swap into my car other then buy a rebuilt stock? Iv been told a SR20DET would do fine but cant find one thats front wheel drive. Any suggestions on a new engine that will swap? let me know

BlueOryx, What you just asked doesn't make too much sense. A sr20det is found in a lot of front drive applications that nissan makes. I'm just wondering if it is just better for you to salvage what you have in the QR25DE and search for a stroker kit for it. Super Street magazine and Import Tuner have ads in them that cater to that kind of up grade. Flip through and see for your self. Shavings in the oil pan can mean a blown oil pump causing other issues such as low compression in #1 cylinder. It doesn't really mean that the engine is blown. Like I said before strip the engine down and have it inspected by some one who isn't looking to rob you and see what can be salvaged and rebuild from there. What it's going to cost you in swapping in a SR20 and the electronics and labor, ETC., ETC., will be about the same, and/or less, as rebuilding the 2.5 with beefier stuff. Stock, the QR25 sucks. Weak bottom end and valve train!  See what's more cost effective for you. I think that up grading the QR is better.
And Miamito616 is on the right track with his advice for 95gstkid. You get what you spend on. Horse power does cost some money, but the gst has pretty good kick with what it's got. Port matching for better air flow and exhaust could also be an option with an intake up grade. It's not a real horse power gain over all but better for breathing and fuel atomization. A fuel rail also, any way, you know what I'm heading at with this. Have fun with it.

95GST kid.

You'll want to join DSMtuners or a similar site. There's a lot of useful information on DSM's out there.

The first things you should be doing are easy and cheap. Intake, Downpipe, Boost Controller, ( get the hard intake pipe, and since you are a 2G, get a 1G Blow Off Valve, or upgrade to something like a GReddy Type S. ) That'll net you quite a jump in power. You'll also want to drop in a walboro 255, don't waste your time with a 190lph from a VR-4.

Boost Gauge is a must, and if you want to go bigger, then it's pretty simple.

EvoIII 16G, RC550's, wideband, an DSM Link for tuning, or if you want an S-AFC, but the link has a lot more features, and will be good for whatever you decide to upgrade to later.

Since you're on here asking and don't know, I'd say stick with the basics.
