4g63.. Nothing else makes sense. I'm not sure how complicated it would be with the tranny and the elecronic harnesses and ecu, but it probably WOULDN"T be worth it unless you got the engine/tranny for free also.
Don't think every engine swap is as easy as throwin a b16 in your civic hatch. There are probably very few people who swaped a 4g63 in a GS compared to how many people swapped VTEC Japanese motors into their single cam civics.
Turbo Eclipses are cheap to come by, try to get your hands on one of those.
If not, A TURBO KIT on the stock 2g eclipse engine woul be your best best. Look it up, there are some pretty nice ones out there that will get you some decent power.

you can get a cheap 1st gen six bolt 4g63 and it is not a hard swap its actually simple. and a lot stronger then the second gen motor. it can handle alot of boost and alot of beating

What you do with a car that was given to you for free is totally up to you. A V6 though? Consider the amount of cutting, if any, that a mid-engine design may require to install into that little bay. I've done one. Money, lots of it, patience and good old math was required to do it. It took four months between the engine build, done by me, and body work, which was not done by me. I recieved a 91 Nissan Sentra xe 4dr, in the same free fashion, that I completely gutted and cut the floor out of to fabricate and weld a new late 80s 300z floor into. 3 months, an Rb20 and drive train later I was the proud owner of the first rear wheel drive Sentra on the East Coast. 450hp, super light body@ 1900lb gvw!!! OOOOOOH BABY!!! Any way, I wouldn't have chosen an ITSYBITSY, excuse me, a mitsubishi but to each his own. The moral to this story is that you do what you want considering what money and time you are willing to put into it. And most importantly, how much do you really like the car for a project of that magnitude like a V6 swap? You got a lot to think about before you dive into some thing like that. Good luck.
