eh i dunno. i love AE86's but have never seen one around here, on the street or for sale so i dunno how available they are. it'd be interesting but ultimately useless for me. could be different elsewhere though. wouldnt be pissed or anything haha

How about any Mazda with a rotary engine. Heck any car with a rotary swap too. These are the most amazing engines. Great power to weight ratios. Everybody time I open a mag. All I see are fwd cars. Put some real sports cars in there. Everybody has a Honda it seems.

Wow, I do tend to bring back posts from the dead.

...Anyhow.  I know that you all at Project Car have done a DSM.  And from the looks of it a damned good job.  But not everyone owns a turbo or all wheel drive turbo.  A lot of us own base model this, base model that.  We do know, however, that there isn't much power output with our base model vehicles (I own a 1994 4G37 in an Eclipse).  The point that I'm trying to get at is this; how about some base model love?  Doing an internal build.  There's kits online, specifically, www.importperformance.com has rebuild kits with Wiseco forged pistons for about $870.00.  Huh huh huh?
And one more thing.  Though I'm not a fan of the J body by any means, good job on actually putting it on the magazine!  I really do like that in a magazine, doing something out of the norm, something that everyone has like that.  Granted, it wasn't a sleeper like the Teggy was, but it did look good.

i said the 90'miata and the ae86 cause they're both underpowered cars, but yet good fast cars.

plus i wanna see what they'll say after modding and riding the cars.

i  would  like  to  see  a v.i.p.  project  like  a  gs300  with  a  2jz  swap or  a  camry  with  a   turbo  5  speed  something  different  with  high  end  parts  ie: garson  body kit  hks  only  top  of  the  line  and  make  right  the  first  time

How bout my 1.8t beetle. it'd be the perfect understated car. and one that no one would expect. The perfect car to put pansy wannabe street racers in there place. I really need help with modifying the motor.

i mean really i can bump up to 400bhp for under $5000. but the problem is i don't have $5000 to spend. stupid dog made me total my 98 eclipse gsx that i was still paying for. and insurance screwed me over. so now im in a beetle. at least i found a turbo right?
