Hey guys, what's up? Love the magazine, almost everything I've learned about cars has been from you. Anyways, I recently acquired a '94 VW GTI. And I need new brakes, rotors and pads (among a lot of other things, but those are being taken care of). I was wondering if you could recommend a brand of brakes that would provide execellent, above stock performance, but that won't completely empty my bank account. I was looking at some Brembo's, which aren't exactly in my price-range right now. And I do need the brakes soon. Anyways, anything you guys could recommend would be helpful. And if buying reasonbly priced means buying stock, then I'll do that too. Thanks guys

You can usually find descent aftermarket parts that are cheaper than OEM. Check out EBC's stuff.

Or a whole list of companies

Woohoo I need to overhaul my suspension now too - Front coil springs, struts and shocks, and rear struts and shocks, and probably the springs as well. ***
